Flooding

The flooding in illonios has brought up some fucked up shit, and one thing in perticular really pisses me off and makes me feel terrible. There was a pig farm that was flooded and the pigs all needed to escape, so they headed to the levys, they got on the levys and were ruining them because there were so many pigs. In order the humans to survive, the army was called in and they shot and killed two hundred pigs because one levy was destroyed.

go ahead and flame me and tell me im igonorant or some bullshit like that, i dont care, the fact that they went right to the resort of killing them pisses me off

exactly, they were going to die (to the best of my knowledge, you never posted a news story)  so they were actually doing the humane thing..

pigs are just a list of animals that really serve no purpose except to be farmed for eating. like chickens. i bet theyre gonna have one major pig roast down there. i would.
ive never seen anyone get so upset over something like this when there are people who lost entire farms/houses/lives. lost farms like that mean higher produce prices for us. on top of already high prices cause of gas.

my bro told me he read it in the paper, but if nessecary i can scan the article if i can find it or try and locate it online. Its just that, idk, i just feel extremely bad for the pigs, i know i have an extremely soft side for any animal, they worked to get to the levy and were safe, for then i guess, and were killed by people with guns, they pigs went to a safe place, nature took them there, and because of us in the long run, we had to kill them

Well, if it was a last resort theres nothin they could have done. But at the end of the day pigs, cows etc are bread for one reason and thats food.

Im from IL and the flooding is pretty bad, and I only going to get worse with the coming rains. The pigs were ruining the levies you said, so by your logic, you would rather risk peoples lives, than kill some pigs, that were gonna die neways, give me a break.

ya but dude arent u from up north?
im in the quad cities and we are still getting hammered with water. im on a waterski team on the rock river and we havnt skied in almost a week now, and our dock is under almost 5 feet of water shits crazy waterloo iowa is now completely underwater just like cedar rapids the mississippi is destroying davenport i went to a riverbandits game ( the local baseball team) and they had to build a bridge for us to get into the park, the park is waterproof and they can have games, its just that fema has to put the bridge up for fans to get in, actually i was just at hooters yesterday and we talked to some fema guys telling me that its a 500 year flood, crazy shit
