If you're bored check out some of my photos i've taken
just wanted to post up some pictures i've taken. i enjoy hearing feedback on them, positive and negative... but constructive criticism would be appreciated. all were taken with a nikon d40 with a 15-55mm lense. they all look much better when they are enlarged, so click on them if you need to. feel free to rate them in my profile as well...
mmm i really like this one. click and enlarge it to see the detail
I like the shots alot. The subjects are great, the colors great and the framing is great for the most part. But, the golf course one with the water looks a bit crooked, and there I think the border is a little messed up. Same with the border of the one with the two cats. Minor things you can still change but overall great shots. O and depth of field was great too.
both pictures of the cats and the bee are so prime, really nice colour too for the golf shots, i love the long exposure one with the waterfall. Great stuff
ahhh just noticed those borders were messed up as well, shit. gotta fix those.. the camera is a nikon d40(even the lowest level DSLRs will get amazing results).
you deffanatly have interesting angles, some of them can make you feel like your almost there which i like in good pictures (golfball sandtrap and driving range) but then you also have angles that just make your subject look that much better (cat lounging) its all dope
thanks guys, i was going to go to college for photography but i really just didn't like the atmosphere of the whole "art" colleges i went to. so now i'm just going to major in business but probably enter a few contests here and there..
Talk to the management of that golf club, show them your work, and offer to take uber pictures they can use for advertisements, magazines, website, whatever, for a small fee.
Find out how much a professional photographer charges and low ball the shit out of his fee.
for the golf course one with the bridge, i actually like it more if u cover up the part above the bridge with your hand so it only shows the little stream and bridge. you should crop the top part out, it makes it a little less busy IMO
youve got the eye, you understand what you have to do and what you need to do. All you need to do is keep working on it and once you master it then you can start progressing upwards.
