With one of the most prestigious tournaments about to begin I thought that there should be a thread.

Predictions: France and Italy have both been there done that, they've got veterans from the World Cup as well as some new faces. No Zidane for France this time though. Then there's Germany, Spain and Portugal. I'll say Germany to win it though because they are a team that has all the pieces of the puzzle and they always show up in these big tournaments, they're a machine.

Players: Cristiano Ronaldo, Torres, Ballack, Ribery. Those are the obvious ones.

My team(s): I'd like to see Spain do well because I like seeing Torres and Ramos play. I'd like Germany to win it though because I think it's about time they do.

Group C is going to be absolute insanity. I would absolutely love it if France and Romania got out of that group.

I'm calling France for the win though. Its a lot of the same players as in the World Cup, but they've also added some more talent, and Ribery has been doing amazingly well. Hopefully Henry can pick things up too

Yes indeed, I like the Dutch too. RVP is always hurt though, but we'll see. He is prolific when healthy.

I was surprised the Czechs didnt completely dominate Switzerland...
It was a pretty lame game to watch. Play was really shut down.

I'll of course be chearing for Italy, but there once again in the strongest group of the tournament so who knows what will happen. Wouldnt be overly surprised if they got kicked out of the first round. I'd like to see them and the Dutch go through(like everyone else, I have no dislike for team orange). Anyone else getting tired of France and Italy always getting dumped it the same group??

Spain, as usual, has a good team. But, as usual, I doubt them to go further than the semis. There's something about that team; their all natural born losers (albeit extremely talented one's). Hopefully there's not as cursed as the English side.

I can see Germany been very solid and winning everything. I only hope Portugal lose early, there's no team I despise more. I know you'll all try and argue that I'm an Italy fan and that our team is full of divers, but really Portugal just takes the cake. We may as well start a drinking game for everything Ronaldo makes a crying pouting face.

And who knows... some darkhorse may come out and win it all like last Euro.

Pfff, Switzerland completely dominated the Czechs.  The Czechs only momentum was for maybe 15 mins in the middle of the first half, other than that they were being outplayed and really were lucky they got the win.
