Basically, next season i really want to be in North America for the season. Canada or America, I'm easy.
But having not really skied there at all, I don't know where to go.
I am keen for as much powder as possible with trees, steeps, coulouirs and possible touring/sledding.
Also, I really want a sick park, like real sick. I've been looking at Breck and Keystone just because of their parks but don't really know about the pow side.
What would you recommend for getting a job? I want to ski as much as possible but would like enough cash to live comfortabley so probably full time. And accommodation, is that likely to be thrown in with a job?
So what would advise i do/ and where to go?

keystone and breck are great bets if you want killer park. I know Breck has some pretty good stuff to ski on pow days too, but I haven't been able to hit any of it so I can't say for sure. However, it's close to Vail, which has a lot of fun pow runs and their whole back bowl area is amazing on powder days as well. Also, if you work at Breck, you get the 5 mountain pass to Vail, Keystone, Beaver Creek, and A-basin, so you can ski them all for free.
Also, the other thing is that housing will almost CERTAINLY not be "thrown in" for employees. You have to find a place and pay for it yourself. Some mountains have employee apartments, but they're usually shitty. My advice would be to go out veeeeery early to whatever mountain you want to work at. Like, at least a month before the first snow. That way you will probably be able to get a good place to live before all the seasonal staff move in for winter and take up all the sweet spots. Try to take a friend or meet some people to split a house or a flat or something, it's much easier that way.
So I guess my advice would probably be to work at Keystone or Breck. They both have awesome parks, and Breck has a lot of housing and a pretty decent little town with everything you'll need. The housing prices are cheap compared to other resorts, provided you get there early enough like I said. And whenever you get tired of Breck and want to go to Keystone, or if you want to ski Vail and Beaver Creek on a powder day, you can do it for free. AAAAND you get the A-basin pass for free, so you get to ski like the first mountain to open in the Rockies, plus they stay open until early June usually. It's nice.

A great place to go for powder is the PNW (Pacific North West). Check out Mt. Baker, Mt. Hood (Timberline, Mt. Hood Skibowl, and Mt. Hood Meadows), and Mt. Bachelor. They get dumped on and they have good parks. You could also look at Alyeska in Alaska, a more exotic location than the PNW, but I have never been there. In Canada, you look at some smaller resorts like Kicking Horse. It does not look like they have a park, but it is a sick resort. Lastly, on the East Coast, there is Jay Peak which gets a lot of snow and does have a descent park. I can't help you with finding a job thought.

alta/snowbird is an option. they have no park really if at all but with mtns like that why have one. if you have a car Park city is an option too. you can work at the base of alta or snowbird in one of the lodges and ski everyday and work and stay for free kinda

Also, i've considered the PNW but don't really know too much about it, so if anyone can help me out then it'd be sweet.
Also, if you have any contact info for jobs or accom then that'd be sweet for the Breck, Vail area.

alta is a good option except they don't have a park but the pow is amazing and really good touring into the back bowls. and you can easily find a job at like the peruvian and you get room and board

try living in frisco, co and get the 5 mountain pass. You can ski early and late season at a basin, park at keystone, park and all mountain at breck, and pow a vail.

how old are you? if you're not 21 maybe drinking would be an issue in america? idk, a couple of buddies just did seasons in tahoe and had a great time- one lived in truckee and skied the resorts around there and had a sick time. there are good parks at various resorts and sick freeriding at sqauw, kirkwood etc. i guess mammoth would be fun too...

Dude, Whistler. Not only does it get a lot of pow, it's the 2nd (now) largest resort in North America, in terms of skiable acres, plus a few big parks, and if you want lighter snow, you drive 3-4 hours to the interior.
...I'd suggest Baker, but we don't have a park 90% of the year.
Also, in WA there is Stevens pass, which has some good terrain I'm told, they get as much pow as the rest of the PNW, and they have a good park. Or at least good jumps, and further south is Snoqualmie, which is like 45 minutes from Seattle or something like that, with a big park in one section, and Alpental for terrain.

Yeah bro I'm 21 so it's all sweet.
I really don't know what i want to do. Whistler is tempting, and Tahoe would be sweet but the parks at breck/key are just calling me...
Also, what's the cost of living like in Breck, I've heard it's pretty pricey. Would I be able to work job, skiing most days and afford rent and living?

Well im from scotland and Ive just finished a season in squaw valley and i'd recommend anywhere in tahoe really. Maybe not the most snow but loads of sweet spring park skiin. I got a job as an instructor easy as you like and there was plenty others with no qualifications at all. Some had never even skied before so its way easy to get set up with a real comfy job out there. Plus south lake tahoe has the most epic parties you'll ever go to!! No joke.
Wherever you go you'll have an ace time though

Whistler's an amazing resort with pow most of the year 'round, but keep in mind that because we get so much pow it's often flat-light or snowing heavily, until April at least. You'll definitely learn to ski all sorts of pow here, light & dry, wet and thick, etc. It's expensive, but as most of the skiing community knows it's an amazing place. Don't party too hard and you'll have enough money to ski. Take a look at the Austin Ross Dark Horse edit to peek the jumps. The pow goes without explaining.
I'd take a look at Tahoe or Utah too, mainly because they've got multiple resorts, especially Tahoe with a bunch really close to each other. Northstar (@ Tahoe) has got a decent park and Kirkwood has got the real deal (snow!!). Utah has Snowbird/Alta, Park City, but they're pretty spaced out.

not to piss on ur bonfire or anything... but have u thought about visa restrictions.If ur from the UK u wont get a visa for canada as theyre all gone plus its pretty difficult to get a US Visa which ull need to work. look into working holiday visas first, U will need CV passport photots, References and criminal record checks, perhaps a copy of ur fingerprints. I think u should look into the Visa stuff first and then decide..

I reccomend coming to the U.S. not that I know anything about Canada. But It is sick here. Come down to Colorado, get here before the season starts. Come with enough money to buy a season pass because they are cheaper before the season starts. People in the U.S. love people from Europe. As long as your white.

Mount Baker is terrible, always rains in Washington. Interestingly enough though, a couple hours north to Whistler is one of the sickest mountains around with a retarded amount of gnar terrain. In all seriousness, I think Whistler is what you are looking for. Also the suggestion of Crystal Mountain, WA should be cast aside... assuming you just want to buy a season pass, you would be left with no park at all. Besides... only rains in Washington, terrible state for skiing~

Sweet, so Canada is off the list. Visa issues basically mean I can't. Which is shitty.
So, I'm applying to hills in Colorado, Tahoe and Utah. Basically I've narrowed it down to these three as a happy compromise for park to pow and vise versa.
Just have a couple of questions about cars...
How much would i look at for picking up something that'll run me around for the season, hitting up different hills and just being reliable. Nothing too big, just bi enough to get skis and some crew in.
Also, what's the sort of price on insurance over there, for a 21 year old with like on crash on his liscense, no convictions or anything?
This is stuff I'm researching just wondering if you can shed an light on the matter.
