Drugs in skiing

Wtf is up with everyone thinking that smoking weed makes them cooler in edits. There are so many good skiers that smoke weed and could probably be better if their brains weren't fried. In my personal opinion don't put it in edits, it makes you look stupid.

Let me a good advisor on this subject as im 33 years old and have smoked practially an ounce a week for the last 17 years of super premium headdies! As you get close to 30 things reaaaaly start to change! It can make you start being paranoid, delusional, and reclooosive after this many years. It will effect your weight and abbility to eat, and if youve smoked alot for a long time quitting definately has major physical withdrawal symptoms! drenched bedsweats, zero appetite and the inability to eat sound good to you?? On another note when you are young and healthy still and arent abusing the shit out of it, it can have great mental insight into whatever it is you are doing, like skiing> but keep in mind pot is no joke!

yeah i don't know where i stand on this. i really think weed is part of the freeskiing culture. not everyone does it and your not the shit if you do, it's just personal preference. i also don't mind seeing it in videos but sometimes i think it should be kept out. smoking does make for some sick lifestyle clips, like a while back someone made a black and white edit of them smoking and it was really cool to watch.

420's origin IS known.
the term 420 originated at San Rafael High School, California, in 1971, among a group of about a dozen pot-smoking wiseacres who called themselves the Waldos, who are now pushing 50. The term was shorthand for the time of day the group would meet, at the campus statue of Louis Pasteur, to smoke pot. Intent on developing their own discreet language, they made 420 code for a time to get high, and its use spread among members of an entire generation.
So there ya go, someone's parents out there invented the term 4/20.
And remember this:
There are NOT 420 chemicals in Weed. It's about 315, the num. goes up or down depending on what you're smoking.
4/20 is NOT police code or Maryjane.
And that whole shit about Holland and 4/20 over there being "tea time" for smokers isn't true either.

Use links with hard scientific data next time.  Your website doesn't say shit.  2nd link doesn't even work.  Don't believe everything you read.

I followed the footnotes from your website to look for empirical scientific data.  It took me to the website "Marijuana:  Facts Parents Need to know." 

Here is the link for the long term side effects. 

Their examples only reference smoking related effects.  NOT EFFECTS RELATED TO EATING  OR THC INTAKE.

The NIda site also has no footnotes, and thus no scientific merit.

So shut up and gobble that bitch.

i can't imagine that weed would help anyone focus when trying to learn something new like doubles, except maybe taking away inhibitions.  It helps for some people's style (or at least how they see themselves).  I prefer to keep it for the apres ski or when at a reallllly shitty mountain.  That said, my only complaint is with NS'ers who insist that it helps everyones' skiing.  To each his own, but no need to broadcast obnoxiously.  As if the tall tee doesn't scream wannabe thug enough, maybe the hustla durgs will lift you to G'dom.

Agreed, i enjoy a nice smoke occasionally, but smoked while skiing and it was fun but it can end your day short. Why do two tiring things at once?
