Ways to spend the summer while not skiing?

What do you do for a rush when all the snow at your mountain melts? I usually just get really lazy and depressed and sleep a lot, but I hear some people mountian bike and stuff. although i have a bike, I just weightlift and still feel lame. sometimes there is no substitute, but there must be something close(?) 

Any ideas?

Thats what I was thinking, especially living up here in the pnw hood isn't that far away. I was thinking of hiking on mt. ranier with my skis too.

yeah, the other summer I just lived on my trampoline. It was awesome, until I tried to sleep  on it, which didn't work.

Yea man hood is pretty dope in the summer and about the mt.rainer ive never done it but i bet you could get some fun out of it.

i like to go up to the mountain passes and build a huge bc hits. good stuff to do.
also alot of skating, and longboarding. oh and cliff jumping. trampolining and mountain biking.

Its definitly good, but there's like 5000 feet of hiking if you really want to ski worth enough for your time.

bike, roller blade, and work. if you have a job it will keep you busy and may be a little boring at times if your job sucks but at least you are being productive and will be able to afford that sweet oakley suit next fall.

true. that worked really well last year, and now I've got a sick set-up for me. chronic blends and scratch 140 ti's. I don't know. I'm hella lazy, but you've gotta do what you've gotta do.

im planing on working all day then skating sleeping repeat. then weekends skate drink concerts. but im gunna try to work my as off try for arund 45-50 hours a week so i can have a baller time at college

Go to the beach. Bike around. Work at a farm. Wish I was skiing like 24/7. That's what I do at least.

or go cliff jumping
or go snakeboarding (ripstick)
or skateboard
or BMX
or mountain bike
or play extreme ping pong..
or do some fruitbooting.

I did that this summer and i ended up working 58 hour weeks some times but it was worth it until I pretty much blew it all the first semester, but this year I will hopefully be better at managing money

this summer I'm starting my job working for an OHL hockey team doing events to advertise the team which should take up some time and is pretty easy but enjoyable when everyone I work around is a close friend

Motocross, wakeboarding, biking. If you get activities you like to do at different times in the year it really helps out on not getting so depressed on missing skiing. In the winter I ski at my little hill and get to go out west for a week or two. Then I ride a lot of motocross, bike, and wakeboard when I can't ski. I race cars all year too, so that keeps me busy.

Mountain biking is about as close as you can get to skiing without touching the snow.  I like biking just as much as skiing, and will probably like it more once I get a little better. 

Aside from that, fly fishing and backpacking are sweet.  Then there's work to pay for all of it.

You live in the PNW and you are out of ideas? Hike, kayak, bike, camp, go rock climbing, rappel random shit, tramp, swim, hit up camp Muir on Rainer, ski Hood, long board, build a raft and fuck around on one off the 10,000 little ponds in the area, BBQ, build a rope swing...the list goes on. Theres almost nothing  better than the summer in the NW.
