How has skiing bettered you?

i was thinking about it during work today like skiing has;  messed up relationships, caused stress about money, affected my grades a bit, etc etc.

but its also helped shape who i am. like the falls ive had while skiing humble me and the successes reinforce that if i keep trying and focusing, etc. long enough i'll suceed eventually. kinda cheesey i guess or what ever but its just something ive been thinking about. im leaving for college in a few months and i guess im just thinking about how skiing fits into my life, its become more than just a fun thing to do on weekends.

how about you guys/gals how has skiing bettered you? how has it affected who you are?

Because there are people on NS that bitch about spelling and correct grammar and in order to avoid their bitching, you spell everything correctly and use correct grammar.

because of the often higher altitudes experienced while skiing, I was able to cut back on my oxygen addiction... though when I come down I just get really fucked up...

it akes me more calm, relaxed on my leiser time and makes me happy all the time. and it also keeps me in shape. it also let me meet some of the coolest people ever. skiing is all together awsome

Skiing has basically shaped who I am as a person.  It's made me see how lucky I am, because I know there are millions of people who don't have the opportunity to expirience this great sport.  It's given me an appreciation for nature, and made me more aware of whats going on with our planet.  It's taugh me the value of money, and what it takes to earn that money.  So basically, I'm just really thankful that I get to ski, and I hope that everyone can find something that they are as passionate about as I am of skiing, whatever it is.

skiing has just made my life so much better its such a great feeling. although it does take work to get up to the mountain unlike skating where you walk out your door. If you could walk outside and ski i dont think it would be as much fun cause then you would always do it. So everytime i go up its just so fun. i go up alot anyway. Skiing has definatly made me who i am

before skiing I had no balls at all, in any domain. not just big airs but with girls too. now skiing has made me grow some cahone`s and i am not a pussy anymore. when im about to make something happen with a girl i compare it to trying a big trick...... huck it and if u land, the chicks digg it, if not, they dig rough brused guys.

funny cause i was just thinking about the same thing recently...   
i moved 36 hrs away from home.... live in s lake and make no money (what is it called poverty with a view? or something) .. my job is mainly durring the day and i had to fight my boss hard for my sched to ski when i want  ... my fam doesnt understand how i can be 24.. colllege grad and bairly making rent... with no health insurance... 
but you know what ... it is a part of who i am.. and i dont think i would be me without it!!

I got a new atitude.  Fuck, just do it now, that way if it does hurt, you can heal earlier so you can try it again later.
