Im guessing that 15oo will by me something thats in good shape from the early to mid 90's that sound bout right? What should i look for in a sled? Also if you have sleds, post what ya got and what ya spent, and average expensives in repairs ect.

1500 bucks will get you a rusted out piece of shit. Get ready to spend at least 4000 to get a descent used machine.
But I dunno, you live in vermont... its not like you are gonna be rooping around in the whistler BC so somthing less might work.
And between gas and oil you'll spend at least 50 bucks a go out, thats if you don't roll it down hills and crash into trees... repair costs are ridiculous. You will crash it, I promise. Basicly they suck money fast.

check it out, tell me what ya think
like someone said above, i am in Vermont, not alot of powder riding will be done, more like just trail riding on the VAST system (at my collage the trails run threw campus, so i can ride after class) so i dont need no 8000 dolla sled, just something that will be ok to putz around with and shit. a good first sled is all im lookin for for this year, then next season mabey trade this one in and buy something nicer.

hey man, depending on what you want to do, you can get into an ok sled for 2000 its not gunna be perfect, but itll get you back there, and a hell of alot faster than walkin, granted it may not get you up that certain slope you wanna ride, but itll get you there, we sled quite a bit and we only run polaris and hardly EVER have any problems.
