Ok, well, theres no pics sry, youre gonna hafta use your ima-gin-ation. So its 11:30 at Sun Peaks and Im ripping with my buddy Dan, hes a barder, im a skiier. We have 2 feet of fresh stuff at the peak, and we duck the line to hit fresh tracks... thinking we could just cut left later and get back to the hill, we started to decend. after about 10 min, we noticed that we were being forced to the right by this steem creek valley. So we decide we can make it to the highway (10 km) so we rip down on the creekbed, avoiding the pools of water and log jams. dan takes his board off and starts to hike around the criss cross of trees, only to fall off a log and get stuck upside down in a hole above the creek.... so we're like this is sketch, and start to hike up to try to cut across and get on the ridge. We make it, and there is a nice Cut block there, cleared out for us. we ripped down and eventually hit a logging road, which eventually took us to the highway. We hitched back up, and caught 2 more chairs up. The run took us 4 hours. So note to sun peaks users: dont go under the rope at the top, its no good. It was the same way those other 2 guys went down and had to spend the night and get rescued. lol quitters. they gave up and burned all their shit to stay warm all night. lol.
