just cause it's bulletproof doesn't mean it will work well for a box.
A bulletproof plastic needs to be somewhat soft, and very able to 'stretch' and absorb the impact of a bullet. That may imply that it will be easy to catch and/or shave off with the edges of your skis.
Also, bullet proof lexan is often only proof for a couple rounds - implying that after long exposure to impacts, it will eventually degrade.
HDPE is a better bet, because it is made to withstand sharp edges over a prolonged amount of time (being a counter-top surface).
