Jon needs to throw a different trick

he threw it the hole time
dont get me wrong its sick and he stomps it, but its not cool to throw it the hole time exept when he knows he won

the kang 5 double grab might have been the sickest thing i have ever seen and he should throw that more often
why practice for x if your gunna do the same trick you have been doing for a year?

and dumonts misty 10 was hella steezier then the dub

the kang flip is his go to trick, but as they say, if it aint broke, dont fix it. also, the jumps on slopestyle and big air were a bit small for a dj or hexo flip, so he just threw what he knew. even though you might think its getting played or whatever, he does it flawlessly and is still working on more stuff

looked more like a bio-10 than a misty-10.
If the jump were bigger / had more pop jon coulda thrown a couple other doubles... dj flip 12...hexo flip...

first off, a knagorou is a double fat  9 so there is no way there is a kang 5 it was just a flatspin/rodeo 5

Second off, the jumps were not good for doubles, as jon said  step down jumps are really not that great for double flips and that is probably wy he didnt throw his fakie double.

in my opinion i think jon needs to change it up more

but other than the x games no one sees him throw the kangaroo, unlike the skiing community who sees it in every comp hes in...

so if it brings in the audience whos obviously not sick of it than why stop if u can win with it

yeah i mean i wont lie i love the kangaroo flip and i know he will keep throwing it cause if i could and i it was winning i would throw it all the time, my only complaint is, is if you watch older movies like propaganda or happy days you see him throw these switch and regular cork 9 tail grabs that are s0o0o0o0o0o steezy and used to get me so pumped up i wish he would throw those more often now. stick with the kangaroo flip but throw so more of those corks that are so smooth

obv it's a good trick but i was very dissapointed that there wasnt too much variety and it got really repetitive and made me loose interest in the trick....i thought the 5 with the dub grab was a lot sicker...so floaty

Well.  I'm pretty sure the reason he threw that 5 is for all of you guys saying this shit about him needing to throw a different trick.  I think it's fine.  Yeah he does kangaroo flips a lot, but who cares he can do what he wants.  When you guys turn pro you can throw whatever you want.  I'm getting tired of this, get off Jon's back, let him do what he wants.  And Jon, because you're probably gonna read this thread, pay no attention to it.

yea your a retard. look at 10s... way more people throw swith 10s than kang flips. i think since most people only throw 10 id liked to see more floated switch 5s and 7s with nice solid grabs, i dont like the hucking of every spin

i too am getting awfully tired of seeing cab 10s. unnat cab 10s are still rad- saw wallisch do one the other day. amazing! id rather see dub flips, especially that one with a switch takeoff. that one is totally crazy! seeing new stuff is cool. i also like seeing stylish new renditions of older tricks, like when Sammy did the flat 5 of the cannon in the xgames slope today.

no it wouldnt itd be soooooo hucked itd look shitty! thats what i think skiing should try to get away from all the hucked looking tricks like 12s and 10s are kinda there get the nice slower 9s and 7s with a 10 once in awhile with really solid grabs. just my 2 cents

It won't become a stock trick for a while, because jon is still the only one doing it well, and as long as thats how it is, hes going to keep doing it and keep winning. Besides, I wouldn't say dumont's misty 10 was better. Jon did the kangaroo flip so well and so clean that he completely deserved to win.

Kangaroo flip is dope, we all know jon is one of the best skiers in the world, and all he seems to get on here is hate.
as he said on his videoblog, he wasnt feelin it yesterday, and was happy with a bronze.  kickers werent big enough for DJ or hexo.  he can do whatever the fuck he likes, he's sick, why cant we just appreciate what hes doing for the sport?

in my mind a sw 12 octo is way gnarlier then a kangaroo flip. especially holding the grab for a lot of the 12.
but like stated before he does it cuz it works.
he prolly wont do it next year since he only got bronze with it in slope.
