I was just wondering if using a full face helmet would be ok for rails. I am very bad at rails and am pretty worried about hitting my face on one. I also love to do jumps and am going to tuckerman ravine at least twice this year and am thinking about getting into skier x. If you have any good ideas/suggestions on helmets, ill be glad to hear em. Thanks
id just do more boxes and get confident. besides, the main point of fulllface helmets is to protect your jaw/teeth, and i have never seen anybody bang there mouth on a rail. its not impossible, but its unlikely. just build up confidence on boxes and start small.
As for jumps, i dont know. I use a regular helmet and i dont worry about my face.
my little brother used a 661 full face bike helmet last year so he didn't have to buy a new skiing helmet. He says it kept his face nice and warm but was pretty heavy. Also a guy where I ski now uses his full face DH bike helmet but Idk what kind it is. I knwo teh Giro remedy is a nice helmet and TRoy Lee Designs makes some sick ones but they're really expensive. 661 and Giro tend to be the most affordable.
