I used to have them. They worked really well at first, but eventually i found that i'd get shin bang with them anyway. I might still use them but I forgot them at the mountain one day a few years ago. I find i'm pretty much okay as long as i start out with my boots super tight at the beginning of the day and then slowly loosen them as i need to. Booster straps are also crucial. Also shouldn't this be in the gear talk forum?
