my local ski shop where i get my skis mounted called and said that they cant mount my 4Frnt Deadbolts on my BlueHouse MRs. Since they have been closed i couldn't get a hold of them, which sucks because i don't know why and my mountain is opening next weekend. So does anyone know what the problem could be? I was under the impression that the deabolt has a pretty large brake, so i don't see how that could be the problem. Do i need new bindings? or could i go to my local ski mountain's shop and get them done there?
The 4frnt deadbolt is kind of a unique binding and not as often seen in as many shops. Maybe the shop didn't want to mount them because they don't carry that binding / don't have a jig for that specific model or brand of binding?
yea thats what i thought was the problem, but they mounted them last year when i first dot them, so they must have had it then, so i dont know, i guess ill just find out when they open
I work at a shop that sells and mounts a lot Bluehouse skis. The
problem we found
when mounting the MRs is that sometimes the mounting line is different
on each ski. Not sure what happened with the markings on the topsheet
but we just measure. Just talk to the tech and make sure that might be
the problem if thats not the problem then I'm not sure because we
haven't found any other problems.
Well kinda. Its a shop in SLC. We've been helping the Bluehouse guys a little and we have a few pairs in the shop. We had a pick up for their sale so we've mounted quite a bit and the top sheet markings is the only problem we've seen.
I though only the districts had that problem? before I got my MR's mounted I checked the lines to make sure they lined up and they were fine, no problems mounting them at my local shop.
yea i heard they do that on purpose to ensure that the tech actually measures, that kinda seems like bullshit to me. turns out they have dont have the jig although they are the same shop that mounted the same bindings last year. so im not sure what happened between now and then. im going to call 4frnt and see if i can get a jig, or have them freehand it.
