Alright so I was hitting my summer setup today with my brother (smokintailblunts), and we were having speed issues, so we water down the inrun and soap it up too. Speed is still not up to normal, we continue to hit it. My brother was just not riding like normal, went for a switchup and fell. He got up and was like FUCK, then looks down

and his finger's skin was like a little flap covering his bone. He was bleeding like hell, and now is in the ER. My dad is tearing down the setup tomorrow morning. FUCKKKKKKK

that sucks, sounds like you had a good setup too.  my setup is easy to setup, a 2 by 4 thats like 10 feet long and i set it up on like a chair or somethin and you can slide it and its like a down rail. at least you had a set up till winter.

I'm sorry, I'm a senior in high school. I am actually glad I don't have that many issues. It's the biggest problem at the moment. My brother is in the ER right now, I think that's a problem.

Well I already told my dad to basically fuck off and people get hurt all the time, I just think he was all caught up in the moment, but you never know with my dad...he is crazy...

Well, he's not gonna die, but it looked like there could have been some fractures and the skin was off it was gross as fuck.

dude i broke both arms in my arm in half and my platelate count was14000 )should be like 200,000 normally
i needed surgery but we had to wait a week and my hand turne purle, and thsts like nothing compared to what happens to eople all the time.

I'm sorry I haven't seen an injury like that first hand...Shit that must suck for you dude that sounds like nothing short of hell. I hope I never see or have an injury like that ever in my life. Fuck. Again, this thread was just a rant I was pissed off an hour ago, now I've cooled out.

Nah man, he completely blew out his tendon and is heading into the city (San Francisco) to get surgery on it right now by a hand specialist.

Don't worry about it, dude I completely understand why you would react that way considering you've gone through way worse.

yeah guys it sucks but not really that bad compared to the other people who were in the ER. There were these ghetto-ass black people sitting there, and one of them just busted in there in the waiting room, and was like:

"SHIT NIGGA, MY CUZZO CAMERON JUST GOT SHOT!"

I was like HOLY SHIT is this shit serious? And then i thought to myself, damn I'm glad its only my finger...

Good part is I get some vicodin.

Yeah I basically got surgery on my finger, because i chopped straight through a tendon in my finger which could not move. He basically reconnected the tendon and now I just have a fat splint and am on the vicodin, which makes it better.

Thank all of you guys for calling me a pussy! I know my injuy wasn't as bad as yours may have been, but my bro is gonna have to cut all my food today, and he is the one typing this shit.

He just got his finger chopped up, had to get surgery, and now is injured.  Maybe if he wasn't high on vicodin right now hed be pissed.  But its amazing how many bad injuries end up gettin fixed like nothing.

oww, 20 stitches, thats nasty.  I cut up my knee on a rail at whistler (thank god it was on the bunny hill).  It hurt at first but wasnt so bad, I hiked the rail again, but then said fuck it, went to the hotel, had some apre, and then got undressed and I saw my knee in like two halves and started freaking out. i think 9 stitches.


and the black guy in the hospital thats so funny.

yah my brother worked at this shitty community hospital one summer in high school and he said he saw some really fucked up shit...

like this one dude had two gunshot wounds in his stomach and they made him sit in the waiting room because they were so backed up...they couldnt admit him straightaway until he went into shock

And, for all you thinking I wasn't worried about my brother... He's my brother...It's instinct to be worried about him, but I knew he was strong would be alright. It's my dad who was freaking out thinking that his hand was completely fucked up and was worrying. My brother's gonna be back to normal in 2 weeks. We will hopefully have some snow in Tahoe by then so it will be perfect timing.

haha i cut my middle finger 1/2 off ramping, got 10 stiches, 2 weeks later you think id learn my lesson. NO! i cut the other side down to the bone(but i didnt cut into the bone this time). 6 stitches.

the seconds time wast my fault cause i cut it on concrete diving for a ski

it was just skin on one finger... thats not bad at all dude.

my brother got his foot sliced with a hockey skate once and it cut some of his tendons and they went all the way up into his calf area so the doctors had to get a hook thing and search for the tendons and reattach them...

and no my dad did not trash the backyard rink after that cause hes not a loser. say look dad,  thats what this sport entails, you gotta grip it and rip it dad.

Before the stitches, the skin was all flapping around and shit and you could see bone/cartilage it was gnarly. For all you guys who have had worse injuries, I'm sorry. But it still sucks for my bro. And I don't get to ski in my backyard anymore...for a while, hopefully.

was that the first time you ever got hurt?  you're hyping this damn finger injury like you just survived cancer or something.  you cut your finger to the bone... ok?  big deal.  i mean, that's gnar and all, but stop making such a huge deal out of it.  start riding DH and gashes to the bone become business as usual.  i've seen my right tibia twice, my right kneecap once, had my right collar bone come through the skin (damn, the right side of my body hates me), blah blah blah, broken a bunch of bones, blah blah yadda yadda, get hurt more often and develop testicles.  ever seen the tip of a finger filleted like a fish?  i had an infection under the nail on my left index finger caused by the parts washer at the bike shop i used to work at... long story short, they opened my finger by making a big X right on the tip with a scalpel and peeling back the skin to relieve fluid pressure.  basically, i had a fingernail hanging over raw flesh and the bone tip of my finger once all the fluid had drained.  looked like Tales from the Crip or some shit.

a finger gash ain't a big deal... and before you try telling me you aren't making a big deal out of it, look at the title of the thread.  you said "fuck my life" because your brother cut his finger.  go cry about it.

Hey crazyfuck, you obviously didn't read this post. That's why I said "fuck my life". From what your post says, it sucks to be you, and your friend who got into a car accident at the time of your injuries.

You can't compare suffering. It's just like saying the people in the Holocaust suffered more than African people on slaveships coming to the USA. They all suffered in different ways, and you can't say which one is worse, because they both resulted in a terrible death, and loss of dignity.

Again, my brother's finger is gonna be ok, I am just pissed I don't get to ride my setup anymore because the closest ski resort to me is 4 hours away and I barely get to ski.
