Ugg boots, yay or nay?

every so often i see a little fashion article on my welcome screen that is doing something like listing the worst fashion trends that are declared officially dead or something like that.  and I always see ugg boots on there.  or hear someone say how ugly they are.

but girls continue to wear them, so obviously these know-it-all fashionistas dont have too much clout.  what do you think?  do they look good?  i think too many girls wear them but I think they look hot on girls.

unfortunately the school uniform for girls in college seems to be ugg boots, big cube sunglasses, north face fleece, and bleached hair.  which is ok in a sense that it looks good on cute girls, but its kinda lame that they all look the same.

maybe Uggs won't get you laid, but paying attention to fashion and looking like you care how you present yourself to girls will CERTAINLY get their attention... the rest is up to you to either seal the deal or fuck it up.  but, christ, pay attention to what you're wearing- looking like you don't care sets you back right off the bat.

either that or you don't know shit about fashion... afterall, you admitted to wearing "beenie or new era, usually a hoodie, tee underneath, jeans or sweats, nike dunks".  BORING!  you sound like every other wanna-be homie who dresses just like all his boyz.  congratulations on being completely unoriginal and reppin 1999 like it's still cool.  i'd rather look like a trendy hipster than some stupid thug.  when you want to learn how to actually dress, let me know- you won't be the first guy to ask me where i shop.

ok i hate fashion so of course i dont know shit about it. and a hoodie jeans and a hat is not trying to be gangster at all. i wear it cause its comfortable first then second for how it looks.

Uggs are pretty bad yes.  As well as black spandex under skirts with ugg boots and those sunglasses, and bleached hair when the weather gets cold, not fun.

i am so glad I am not like you

caring about how you dress doesnt make you gay.  if you are incredibly handsome or just a true casanova then you can wear sweats and a t-shirt all the time.  in reality no one can really pull it off.

while I am on the subject, my nice stylish clothes are just as comfortable as the shitty-looking baggy crap that people always talk about on here.  i am sorry, but baggyness does not equal comfort.  material equals comfort.  but the truth is, i have never worn a pair of pants I consider uncomfortable anyways.  yeah sweats are more comfortable than jeans, but not by that much.  this whole rationale is just dumb.

when i am talking about style, I do not mean dressing like youre out of a ralph lauren catalogue or something.  i have a pair of sweatpants I wear sometimes out and about, but they look really cool.

but its ok, if everyone dressed well then us stylish folk might not look so good.

and the people that commented probly wear ugg boots...i almost guarantee more than 90% of the people that own white sunglasses look like complete shit. they got caught up thinking white ones are cool but they just look ugly as shit and arent fooling anyone.

I like them but only in brownish/tan - the green/blue and pink is ugly.  And they're so comfy. But girls def hav northface, cube sunglasses and uggs, and a shitload of braceltes

but dude, different girls like different cloth styles on guys. no one style of clothing will gurentee you every girl.
and anyway, i would much rather date a chill girl who is in volcom than a gorgeous girl who is in abercrombie or whatever they wear, but a drone.

you're probably thinking of queer as in the slag term for homosexuals. 

the real meaning of queer is used to describe something that is weird, odd, and/or strange.  and since the 2 dollar bill is the 2 dollar bill is the not often seen in circulation and since its production is among the lowest it can be deemed queer.

its sad though, how words can lose their meaning because a group identifies with it.  sort of like how homosexuals took over the word gay.  culturally in the 1930's you'd think gay meant fun,happy, swell.  but nowadays you are condtioned to identify gay as a homosexual.

so that is your short 5 minute lesson in semantics.  i suggest you read ferdinand de saussure, then that will really bake your noodle.
