i used to skateboard, but i hurt my ankles too much so i stopped, i acutally sprained my ankle over vacation and couldnt go skiing, so it didnt help my skiing

I dont think skateboarding helps at all for skiing...inline does, helps u learn rails and spins and sometimes grebs

skating helps a lot b/c falling on pavement at a million miles an hour hurts a lot more than falling on any type of snow...except for rocks
The only real drug problem is scoring real good drugs.

Inline gives you gay fruitboot style which is not good. Skateboarding is super good for railslides and a certainl style mentality. fruitbooting is the devil.

I would say skateboard are not to beneficial, but they do help you get better balance. It is also a lot of fun except Im not that good and always end up hurting myself. Thats why i stick to my longboard and surfing during the summer!

Speaking of surfing I'll be riding manhattan beach in just a few short days!! hehe should be fairly good, water temp is in the 50's but meh I've got a fully. and set wave is around 4 - 4.5 feet ohyeah!

Skate boarding doesnt really do shit for skiing.....i skateboard everyday in the summer...it might help a little with rails but thats all i can think of

Rollerblading style? How can you tell this? Do you just watch turpin, say to yourself 'how the fuck did he get so good so fast', and then dismiss his achievements because he used to rollerblade? You seem knowledgeable detective but I dont think you know what you are talking about on this one. I think ppl need to stop using buzz words.

i inline skate. of course it would help. it´s a lot easier and you do the same tricks the same way, you get comfortable with pipe riding...

inline doesn´t look gay unless you make it look gay.

you can go higher on in-lines than on skateboards and that´s the fun part isn´t it? but yeah skatewboarding looks really cooland is def hard
and of course it helps.

skateboarding trains your coordination which yoiu need while skiing...

i skateboard, and i can see how it would help you on rails. also you have to work really hard to learn tricks on skateboards it helps if you work as hard on skiing.

Both definitely help out your balance but skateboarding is cool because it gives you some diversity. oh yeah, who gives a fuck about Chris Turpin. the kids a weird cheezepenis. and he did the Whistler open in a friggin backpack. CAN SOMEBODY EXPLAIN THIS GUY?!?

yea so ah.... i skatebosrd and i think it helps. first of all, it gives u better balance in general, but esp on rails, i learned to grind way quicker than my brothers who don't skate. second, i think the whole mentallity helps, because it gives you determination to land a trick and such. yea, thats about all i can think of. skateboardnig is too hard........ but its still fun.

I skateboard sometimes. I dont think it helps with skiing, I mean you cant really compare two planks on snow to a board with wheels on concrete. But it will help your balance and it might help your rail skills too.

ok, i'm gonna start by saying that i'm not partial to any type of sport, but i think that skateboarding take a whole heap more talent that inline does. and by doing something like skateboarding well, u bring into skiing something very different. with the ability to do something different comes innovation, and we all know that it's about innovation, no??

yeah it´s harder to do a 360 on skateboard than inlines, that´s why inlineskaters do switch rodeo 10s and skaters rodeo 5s.

saying it takes more skill to skate, yeah to do the same things, but not to be pro.

i dunno man - the only reason u can spin more on inlines is cuz they're attatched to your feet, i don't think it's a matter of having more skill. i'm pretty sure anybody could pick up a pair of inlines today and do some half decent moves. i'm pretty sure the same couldn't be said for skateboarding.

it is true how hard it is to do spins on skateboards. like u can get a figure skater on them dildo blades and pull a 1080 just standing there. speaking of that kinda stuff my friend can pull one just standing there, shes and insane figure skater... anyways back to the point, its really hard to do spins on skateboards.

i dont think it will evolve much. i see skateboarding and skiing evolving SOOO damn much. you cant really go anywhere anymore without seeing skaters. there are limited numbers of bladers. i aint bashing the sport so dont go all wacked out fakie. all im saying is that there are a lot more options in skating and it is a lot more tech. blading isnt easy. all i was saying is the spins are. that is when it comes to best vs. best.

im thinking about skateboarding instead. since i think grabbing inlines loks kinda dumb there aint that many tricks to learn.
except for grinds. but they look even dumber with all thos ecrazy foot positions.

mctwists, corks, flatspins, flairs, double backflips, spins. thats it? well i guess that´d take a while but still.

anything you can do on skis you can do blades except for a couple of the grabs, so i'd say inline has as much room to grow as skiing does. of course skateboarding is just insane and deserves more respect than anyother 'extreme' sport. is it just me or is the term extreme sport gay?????

what the blood clot are half you kids talking about? first, turpin is no tool (and throws a mean cork 540), inline skating is only gay when you MAKE IT GAY, and of course skateboarding will help with rails, balance, and a fnckload of other things. BUT (and even though I am a skateboarder), I'd like to see someone boardslide with skis on. riiiiiiight.......

yeah calling skateboarding and inlineskating and a lot of other sports too extreme sports is kinda weird. it´s not like alot of people have died of it(any?). it´s not like you ever fear for your life when you go skating.

seth morrison now he´s doing an extreme sport, or candide thovex flying over chad´s gap.
