So i got an HV20, and i can capture on Sony Vegas 8 and also on HDVsplit, which is sick. But both files save as .m2t
What the hell is that? I've tried taking my vegas captured file and to edit it, but vegas doesn't support the file type. It also doesn't support .wmv's is that wierD? What can i do wiht m2t files?

.m2t is such a stupid extension. Just rename the file extension to .mpg and it should work fine.

i can now i had a similar problem and i contacted sony and they sent me a file that reinstalled my program basically with some new updates. i just looked for the file but im pretty sure i deleted it. i dont know if that is your problem but that allowed me to edit wma's again
