So if hypnotists can stop people from smoking by telling it to their sub-concious mind, so they really believe it, Couldn't they simply just tell a person (while hypnotized) that they are a pro skier and that when they come to, that they will automatically be like the best skier ever? Because in most aspects its just mind over matter and comitting, so does anyone else think this is possible...?
i suppose they could tell the experienced freeskier to no longer fear bailing, so that they will commit to anything. but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll be good enough for pro, it'll just mean they're nuts.
"Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour and it seems like a minute, that's relativity."
"By and large, jazz has always been like the kind of a man you wouldn't want your daughter to associate with."
o jeeze don't even get me back into this stuff. once you realize the power of mediation and self-hypnosis, you'll be addicted. i got hooked like 7 months ago, and it's just incredible. do some research, you'll find some cool stuff.

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive"
they could make them believe it, but the likeliness of someone actually being a insanely better skier afterwards is probably impossible. it might maybe boost their confidence, and make them more daring... but i don't know, why not be the guinea pig? :D
