Owning 2 pairs of ski boots???

Does anyone have any experience with this? I have SPK's as my everyday park ski, thats the boot i used all last season and will continue to use this coming season in the park.
However, in my trips out west I found the boot lacking in the support I need for all-mountain performance, in the backcountry and pow. I am 6'2, 175, and im considering some new technica 120 or Lange 130 or somethin, I will be headed to a bootfitter or course, but....
Any thoughts on owning two pairs of ski boots? Anyone else need something other than the SPK for real skiing?

^im similar. I ski at a hill that is 230 vertical feet, and has 5 runs. Centre mount, one pair of boots, and im set-well, forward of centre but thats only because Im awesome.

Yeah, SPK is like supa wide and the lang/nordica are a bit more narrow.

actually thats not true. I have skied technica and lange boots comfortably for 10 years before trying and loving my SPK's. I always have my boots fit perfectly, with custom soles, and the langes and technicas always needed a little punching out but they were great.

believe it...my custom footbeds im sure contribute to me having a snug fit in my SPK's....
but aside from this silly argument, what are your thoughts on using two pairs of ski boots? Should I just keep using my SPK for everything?

if you have two pairs of skis you could pull it off without much hassle, you could ride the spk's with one pair, and then your other boots with another pair. otherwise you're going to have to adjust your bindings every time you switch boots, unless you get another boot with the exact same boot sole length, which would pretty much limit you to another salomon
