I find with poles, its a little tricky to grab sometimes. I havnt used poles since march of 2006, so I'm fine with them.

i think im going to get some next year just because im sick of my hands getting so cold. a couple times last year i had to go in for like 10 mins because had to thaw out my fingers.

get mittens one size to big and you will have no problem doing any grab, i have become nearly as dexterous as when i where gloves with my leather beasts

yea, i made the switch from gloves to mittens a few years back and never looked back. mittens are way better - unless it's spring time...

i rocked mittens and gloves this year. I wore thin gloves and a mitten shell thing. it was sweet.you can put a lot of hand warmers in mittens

mittens > gloves. Even with poles when you do your garbs just hold your pole with your thumb while your fingers/paw grab your ski. They are so warm plus in my opinion look way steezier than gloves.

do you actually grab the ski with individual fingers?  You just palm the top or base of the ski and wrap your figers around the edge anyway, how is that any different then from with gloves on... Unless your one of thoes 2 finger grabbers then mittens untill its like 40 out

i use mittens with poles and i do fine

just hold you pole with your thumb when grabbing it kinda works

they make gloves look like poop for your hands. Keeping your phalangies seperated is wrong in the cold yo. I would rather have sweaty hands then freeze.

I have a pair of OR goretex mitts that are amazing on cold days. If you are ripping powpow, you should have mittens, as you probably won't be grabbing a whole lot and your hands will do much better.

hahaha, I never owned a pair of gloves last year...I just hoped some of my friends had an extra pair or liners but if not I was rocking no poles so I put my hands in my jacket...I am def getting mittens this year...warm hands would be cool for a change.
