Chosing a ski

Insane

i have a pair of 2006 1080's and im looking at buying some new skis.. im not great in the park but i spend half of my time there, and i love to surf the pow and do some crazy backcountry jibbing.. so i need a ski that will hold up great in the pow and crud,, but can still hold up ok in the park.. ive been looking into some cronic blends.. help me out.. suggestions?

id say get a light all mountain ski if thats pretty much what the chronic blend is then go for it

man i realize this is your first post so i'll be nicer. we don't know how strong of a skier you are, we don't know anything about you. at least give us your weight and height before we can give out any recommendations

better. if you're plannin on doin pow as often as it sounds i'd go with somethin more along the line of jp vs. julien. blends just seem too narrow underfoot for what you want

You sound like the sort of guy who could do better at EpicSki or TGR, but we'll do our best while we're here.

It sounds like you really enjoy the pow. If you like it as much as it sounds like, then you could have a look at the K2 Seth. This year's has a mini-rocker, but previous years don't. Dimensions 130-98-118. Ideal for your pow, piste, and park. Last year's, you can find for $429. This year's are still around $600, but that price should lower.

The Armada ARV is also suited for all-mountain ripping. Width goes from 89 to 95, length dependent. It is very versatile, with enough sidecut to carve up the piste (since you're an ex-racer).

I realize these two skis are not the only skis out there, but they seem to stand out as the do it all twin-tip for you.
