Question Regarding Womens Outerwear

On the way to have my new Holden pants sewn in, they managed to escape from the trunk of my car during the commute-never to be seen again. So, I need another pair of pants. I have been looking around, and Im not spending another 150$ on pants. The idea of buying women's pants has crossed my mind. Ive never been one to spend alot on outerwear, so I tend to buy Ripzone pants. I have a pair in a mens meduim, and they fit normally. I want some tighter pants, so I figure buying from the same brand, but in womens would achieve this.
Im just not sure what the conversion is from like a mens medium to a womans size. Ive checked their website, but I havent gathered any information.
Here is my question: Should I buy those pants in a womens large? Or womens medium? I just dont want them to be too big...And help is appreciated.

i just compared my sessions pants size large against my girlfriends sessions pants size medium. and the waist on the women's was noticeably smaller. i am 6'2" 160 lbs normally a size 32 waist and i know her pants would not fit me, waist and length. hope that helps somewhat

It crawled out.
Actually, I forgot to close it. I guess it was windy, and they fell out? I didnt even notice the truck was open. Or, maybe it wasnt? I dont care, I lost some sweet-o-pants tho!

Don't buy women's pants - they will look horrible because most women's pants are cut to be worn higher on a woman's waist and fit around the hips. I work in a shop and if I'm ever selling clothes I always recommend girls to buy try on guy's pants if they're young and are wearing baggier pants sitting low when they walk in the shop. They take some convincing sometimes but almost all the time they end up going for the guy's because they're made to be worn like that and women's ones just look stupid if you wear them low.
Even if you do wear them high they'll be baggy at your hips. If you want a tight fit then buy any pants that are a non-baggy fit. Look at traditional ski brands - North Face, Helly, etc.

Thanks man. I kinda thought of that. They all seem to be low-rise in the waist. Im looking at some quiksilver stuff at the moment, with the straps on the knees to make them as tight as my mood fits!
