skate for sure,I like how its more realistic and you can get a better feel for the way the board and body act trogether to create skateboarding

they both look sick. but im just sick of how rediculous tony hawk's is. you cant get a feel for how skateboarding really is. hopefully skate will step it up. and then in the long run make tony hawk get more realistic too maybe

they're gonna work off each other I think in the next few years. but the new photo/video mode online in skate is so sick.. and the tweaking grabs by the pressusre on the triggers is sickkk

TH Proving grounds all the fucking way. That game looks so dope. Skate games should not be totally realistic. If you want to skate for real, go buy a real board. Also, the TH game intro has shots of Missoula Montana and fuck that misty or whatever he does looks kinda like Polson Montanas park (where I live, he donated like 25G's to get it built), so thats sick as fuck. He came here after the park was completed, it was sick. They were definately filming here.

definitely true, that will be the best part of the game. being able to set up the cameras where you want to is a badass feature that should be in all of these action sports games. if skate had the video editing feature it would be better hands down. i'm interested in trying the gameplay for skate though, rather than pushing a button to do an ollie you have to push down on the analog stick then flick it upwards.

it seems like skate is finding a good balance between realism and difficulty, cause its gay to do 1080 triple heelflips and shit but its also not fun to take an hour to land a kickflip.

i think you missed something
film editing mode on tony hawk makes it very worth checking out, the free roam feature is still there, you are also able to interact with the environment more, by knocking down poles and such to create new features to skate.

a combination would be better. the building levels and alternative career paths and tweaking of TH Proving Grounds and the semi-realism of EA Skate combined would be really cool.
i wish skiing games were made like these though :(

I like skate much more. They seem to understand what skaters want. You do get alot of people going "if you want realism just go skate/video games aren't supposed to be realistic/search bar/etc", but I think a reason skaters play skating video games is because they don't feel inclined so to do the real thing (Rain, winter, getting busted, busted gear, drunk). Also they don't try to market something specific like the neversoft series(I say neversoft because they made and directed the game, Tony got tainted with it). Like every year it was just something a fall line with the new upgrade (while this is economically smart when people notice they get a little disappointed), new FREE career mode, new STORY mode, CLASSIC/JACKASS mode, NO LOAD SCREENS*exceptions will occur, MOTION CAP/TRICK INVENTORZ!, STARBUCKS MOCHA MCDONALDS mode, etc. Skate just markets a skate game that should last enough even it's just a one off. Also they go easy on the references, like their one clip with Mark Gonz flipping his gap at the embarcadero.

its funny how they made fun of montana in the first versions of the game where in the pre-made parks and it was just a tree...now montana has sick skateparks....zoo, whitefish, polson, kalispell..

YEAAH!!!! I heard this as well, its going to be VERY ill. Guys I know THPS is "redundant", I mean this is the freakin NINTH version. Do people call Fifa 2007 "redundant" after they've been making Fifa games for the last 10 years? Just saying, that TH series is fucking epic. Remember the first time you played Tony Hawk 1 on PS1. YEA! It was fucking sick. Its all about crafting perfection.
That said, SKATE is going to be fucking SICK!!!! I can't wait to buy this game. Does anyone know released dates for either/both?
