switch spinning

this is pretty random considering its the middle of the summer, but when i do switch takeoffs, it feels really wierd and switch spins are awkward. i also tend to spin too early. anyone else feel this way? any suggestions on how i can fix this problem?

look at the take off and pop and spin n shit, just like forwards except backwards, stance is key, and u might do switch 1s until ur comfortable, then just spin more

i find i can torque up a spin a lot easier switch. It's weird...

yeah i think switch spins seems more smooth for me I havn't taken them off anything huge yet though

don't stager your feet, or it will screw up your pop. just wait till the lip. you will want to get it around early, but dont. just think thw whole time about waiting for your feet to get to the lip. then when you are at the lip, pop, and spin. try riding fakie a lot so that you are balanced, and can carve like that. that will help you to be ballanced at the lip, and not sitting back. cuz yea leaning too far forward on the jump can fuck you up. yep. its real easy once you get the hang of it. but waiting is key.

yah it looks kind of stupid but just cruise around the mountain switch for a few days. Do little half cabs of bumps and rollers, and do lots of switch carving so that you are used to the feeling of skiing switch. IF you had learned how to ski switch from day 1, and never really learned how to ski regular, you'd probably be saying that regular spins felt awkward too.

when i started switch, i felt wayy to backseat after the first 180. i corrected that with a safety grab closer to the front of your binding, after i did that i had alot more control and progressed to switch 540 safetys.

since i started skiing this year i started rising switch my second day and now i ride switch most of the time so i am more comfortable spinning, taking off and landing switch. i learnt switch 5's before reg 5's jsut becuase i ride more switch then regular.....

sometime I kind of crane my upper body, I can't look over my shoulder it just fucks things up. As for spinning I always have to dominate with my right shoulder, using my left just feels like the whole world is against me but this year I am going to try to get in some practice

well.... Since i do some fruitbooting as well Ive learnt that spinning switch is very simple for switch 180s anyways. Just pop and if your looking over, you will come around. Easier than a normal 180. for 3s you just kindof give it a little more and ive never gone past 3 swicth.....poor me.

just ski around switch everywhere you go.. that helps to get really comfy and u start to know what your doing more when it comps to jumps n shit...
