I use Kazaa and heard about the court cases and shit and i dont want to be next. Anyone have any tips on keeping low profile so they wont track your IP adress or artists not to download.

im not too concerned. ive got under 500 files, and i dont share. besides, i heard they were only going after american users, not canadian users. so again, i dont have to worry

^haha.. yes, some other advice i read on the web is to move your files somewhere else on your PC. So, dont keep them in the folder where Kazaa downloads.. This way, it doesnt look like you have ANYTHING, whether of not you are allowing uploads.. Even better yet, burn them to data cds...

^ yeah cowboy i do that method of taking the files from the kazza folder into a folder on my comp, so hardly anythings on the actual kazaa, also as i said i don't share or anything

I heard putting up a firewall helps too, but simply disabling the uploading function works pretty well.
