alright im going on a family vacation to Europe this summer. Were going skiing in Tignes but I cant bring my skis becuase we will already have been on vacation for a about a month before skiing, and my parents say that it is too much hassle to bring a long. I know that it isnt very hard to find places to rent twin tips in the U.S., but does anyone know how easy it is in Europe?
I would post this in the france regional section but i gotta know this by june and i didnt want to risk it with how little is going on in that forum.

Its hard. They always go first. Unless you have the top package rental deal. Good luck.

Also, we're going there 29th June for a week. Look out for the pile of piss head students in the Yeti bar in Le Lac.

ah rubbish you'll have no problem mate. there'll be plenty of shops with good twin to rent, maybe next years to test if your lucky. tignes is a big summer ski resort, you'll be fine

intersport are probably your best bet, you wanna book it over the internet tho, especially in the summer, alternatively precision in val d'isere lets you choose the exact ski you want over the internet, dont know if that happens in summer
just get in touch with the tourist office tho

easily - dont rent through the hotel, but rent through a decent shop on snow/in the centre of town - they have heaps of twins (plus tigne/val disere are fairly sizeable so you shouldnt have a problem)

Every shop will have twins in, I guarantee it, if you pay for silver or gold you'll likely get this seasons' gear

I was there about 2 weeks ago and i got a decent pair of Salomon 1080s which are entry level twins quite easily.
most the resort seemed to have twin tips so i believe its pretty easy. i was staying at hotel tignes (skibound) and they had their own rental shop in the basement so im not sure about the commercial shops but i think it should be pretty easy. Although i did have to upgrade to silver to get them which was an extra 20e but it was well worth it!
