have you talked to him recently? his attitude's changed quite a bit since destroying his ankles on Chad's.
as for whoever said he isn't improving, ask Seth Morrison about his trip with Tanner to AK. well, i'll save you the trouble- "Can't wait to see what he can do with more experience, he did a good job." i think it's safe to say that if Seth Morrison said anyone did a "good job" skiing in AK, they probably aren't too shabby. i wouldn't describe some of Tanner's previous performances in AK as "good", so it probably goes without saying that he's improving and probably in leaps and bounds.

tanner is a unique character in this industry, and yes, while most of you don't like who he is/ how he acts, subtract the attitude and look at the skiing. HE IS a pioneer, and i would say more so than shaun white, prob not slater though.
He has won a bunch of comps, HAS set the trend for style in skiing, has had a huge influence in music, help pioneered grabs and style like the cruton, truckdriver, and wide stance skiing (that is a very big influence), and now is trying to diversify his skiing. Gotta give him props for that.
O yea he started a film company...no biggie there either.
Yes his attitude sucks sometimes and his image has had some detrimental effects, but i think its done more good than harm.
Just think about the skiing here people.
I do think he was getting passed in slopestyle, but i think everyone here can agree that his passion was and is pipe skiing.
but that's just me. any counterpoints?

tanner stopped skiing sloopestyle because he saw a lack of potential progression in it and the giant potential progression in halfpipe

I agree with that. Halfpipe has progressed so much in the last 2 years and alot of it has to do with tanner
