personal advisor to tsar nicolas II of russia. holy man. early 1900's. basically got too influential in there (queen kept him around because she thought he could heal her son) so they killed him. it's actually a really interesting story. invited him for dinner and lured him in with the guy's wife. fed him poison. didn't die after quite a large dose. shot him multiple times, still didn't die. finally ended after they wrapped him up in a rug and threw him in a river.
rasputin was part of the cause of the russian revolution. also the fact that the wife of the czar wasn't russian made people mad. then a "mystic Healer" known for having multiple sex partners is one of the lead advisors to the way the country is ruled lead to the revolution. the czar wasn't around because they were fighting some war
