hey guys im looking for a new video camera. I want a digital or miniDV. im not lookin to spend to much mone no more the 300. if you have and suggestions on a good vid camera let me know.
Well for that little you may have a hard time finding a Mini DV camera period. But i could be wrong, i havent looked in awhile. I've had great luck with Sony's, Panasonics, and Canons.
if you buy retail i guarentee you will spend more than 300. but on ebay you can get decent cameras for under. i bought a canon optura 10 for $285CAN shipped. amazing daytime shooting, but dont even try to shoot in night with it.
insteda paying three hundred for a MiniDV invest a little more in the future and buy a hard drive camera. Theyll run ya a little more but there worth every pennie. You lose tons of qualitie when you capture your dv tape onto your comp. This way its already a file
but what if you dont know if this is what you want to do? i would rather spend 300$ and realize this isnt for me than spend 1000$ and come to the same realization.
valid point. Hold off, go film with some friends and use there cameras, to find out if you like it. Spending 300 dollars on a camera where you only have control over a few functions isnt going to be as fun as filming with soemthing you maunally adjust every setting with. And you can control what you footage will look like. Idk man its your call. I just would never spend that little.
yeah dude, i mean i love filming, but was bored w/ it when i had cheap cameras, simply because the quality was so lacking, and i mean you can have fun with it and do stuff with the footy, but you can do different things w/ a higher end camera, and you can do so many different settings to get something to look a specific way! just so much fun how you can vary your shots! It gets really fun when you get into lifestyle shots
probably a GL2. basic, but gets amazing shots. I love my FX1, and they really arent that price compared to alot of cameras out there. the new FX7. If you want to spend alot look into the Panasonic AG HVX200. Sick camera, but its pricy!
