How often do you replace equipment?
skis - every time a good deal goes by
outerwear- every three years
boots- when i outgrow my old ones
ski when i get the money boots are a question outerwear is when i get the money im poor
skis // every year [after 90-100 days most skis lose their pop]
boots // every two years [or when they are completely packed out]
outerwear // when i decide i want something different, or the stuff i love is too worn out
well... since i am uni student, and poor as hell, i've had the same skiis and boots for 4 years now,, hopefully work my ass of this summer to maybe afford a new pair,, and for outwear, usually every 2-3 years, need to change it up, since i wear my jacket on the street too not just on the hill
usually change 2 of my 3 pairs of skis in my quiver every year, outerwear I change like twice a year haha, boots I keep for a long time if theyre nice.
skis every year. boots every year. outerwear at least once every year.
answer: wayyyy too often ;)
boots every year? thats just stupid.
If you have an endless supply of money, you probably would.
no you wouldnt, once a boot molds to your foot and you have it custom fitted why would you want to change it
I get new outerwaer like 6 times a year,
skis whenever they break,
and boots every other day.
skis: when they break
outerwear: every 3 years or so, if i see a good deal, or if it rips.
boots: whenever they wearout in the sole or the liner. i had my last pair of boots for 3 years.
i try to go like two years on everything but it usually only goes for one till i want something new
Skis: Lately, every year. Or a couple times per year as is the case right now.
Boots: This is my 6th season in them. Thinking about get a surefoot foam liner or a booster strap to help the fit, but I'm pretty happy with them right now.
Outerwear: Every couple of years. I'll definitely need new pants next year but my Oakley Radiator Jacket is still holding up really well in its 4th season.
Every year to every two years... I spend way too much though... I always get tempted by new stuff, so I end up buying it.
i try to get skis every year but im to poor so it ends up like every other year, outerwear every couple or if it gets super worn out, boots this is my 2nd season on my foils and im keepin them for next season so im not sure yet
whenever things break or wear out is a good general rule.
boots: the industry says they last 50-100 days but i am on year 4 with the same boots, all seasons were 65+ days on the same boots. they are definately worn out tho and i will need new ones next year.
skis: look for deals, and dont feel guilty about having two pairs of skis you can always use one for urbans or if you unexpectedly break stuff then you dont have to find somehting in a rush.
outerwear: 3 seasons, 65+ days per season and i had to get new stuff.
i never replace it, but i get better shit and beat on the old stuff
Skis are a yearly thing. I buy over the summer, much better prices.
Boots I try to get 2 years out of.
Outerwear: I have so much already I can make a new outfit for every day of the year..
