Modern Art Really Sucks

Yeah, I just went to the Denver museum of modern art, and it's all terrible crap. There was one called 'Christmas Tree in Bathtub', and that's what it was. Whatever happenned to truly great art? We hit the impressionist period, and then kablooey, art's been stagnant since then, with people making crap, and then when you criticize it, the artist responds with philosophical bullshit about 'what really is art? can we define art?' Has anybody else noticed the fact that contemporary art sucks balls?

No, it wasn't a painting, it was an actual christmas tree in a bathtub. They were too lazy and untalented to even paint it.

My cousin is an artist and she does REAL art. She painted a 20 foot long panoramic view of some park (not a terrain park) that was all done in shapes but from a distance looks like a photo. It's so sweet. She does really really good sketches and other paintings too.

i was at the Tate Modern in England last year, and one piece of art was a repeating video clip of a naked man jumping up and down. No joke.

Another was a stack of books on a carpet..??

I hate modern art. It's so pathetic. Like learn how to paint! Or draw or sculpt something that everyone can see it for what it is! None of this bullshit that only certain people get recognized for but everyone can do!

you fucking morons. all those modern artists are already really famous and well acclaimed artists who have lots of skill and wanted a change in their career. Personally, i love modern art. I went to the Tate modern in londen...it was soo awesome. i think modern art is more interesting than lots of othe rkinds.

I went to this art place somewhere in like upstate New York and one of the things was like 6 balls each bigger then the other, which was wierd to start off with. Then if you read the sign its says there made of deer shit or some other crap. How can some guy make money off rolling up shit?

'fuck modern art'.. i don't get why everybody is so against it? how does everybody feel about abstract art? cubism? dadaism? just because a piece of art may seem completely illogical and non-sensical, it automatically loses its artistic value? is this the conclusion that i should come to after reading the above posts?
