so mine are now retarted. edge popped out the front, and a lot of delam. does any1 have an article or an email from line saying they would replace or repair these skis, maybe because they have happened to many of them(of coarse i know that but). i am having trouble gettin them replaced because line says they dont deal with their smaller stores, the store says they dont deal with line anymore. any help? they are just over a year old, but its a factory defect, so that warrantly shouldnt apply. any help would be great especially if you have a responce from line if you sent them an email or an article they released.
and nor will i advise any1 too. i work at a ski shop so, i can deff get the word down not to buy line skis. many stores around my area are gettin out of their business for the whole quality issues.
You cant judge the entire company due to one run of bad skis. Line makes some kick ass skis besides the invader and this year they fixed the quality control issue. They've also been bought up by k2 now which should help with that stuff too.
that makes you an idiot. line makes great skis, just the invaders suck, especially the first year. it pisses me off that you would condemn a whole company based on one product that they admited to having problems with. now send them in, they will warrentee them as long as it's been less than a year since purchase, get the new ones, ski them. or you can ask if you could upgrade to chronics and get one of the most durable park skis on the market (head being the other).
You wont get anywhere with Line warrenting them right now. They are out of skis until next year. Just ski them the rest of this year and buy new ones next year.
ok i take back what i said about never buying them again. yeha it was just one whole production of a ski...but i may or may not buy them again. the one part that pisses me off tho, is the store that i got them from says they wont do anything because they dont deal with line anymore, and line says they dont go thru the public, you have to go thru the dealer. yeah its not totally lines fault but the fact that im going to miss prolly atleast 2 weeks of a shitty season in the east due to a problem with a ski that shouldnt have happened in the first place.
whoever said just send them in n they'l get warrantied, they wont accept them, and line says it on their site, not too send in products its gotta go thru the dealer, which i dont blame them for. and whoever said just ski with them the rest of the year, you dont ski on a ski with the base and edge sticking out into the snow...i may just duct tape the tips together this weekend if the whole situation isnt figured out by then so i can actually ski, then send them in the next day, but thats not going to last the whole season. with that tip gone, the other one starting to fall apart(you can see delam starting n the edge separating from the topsheet), then with both tails delaminating like its their job, its not going to last much longer. eventually the edge is just gonna rip right off the ski and the base and topsheet also separated.
so its not only the fact that line made a shitty ski, and i do take back what i said about line being a shitty company, but for a problem that shouldnt even occur to escalate into a couple weeks atleast of no skiing, and maybe not even another pair of skis out of it, is kinda rediculous.
word you shouldnt have bought skis that everyone said they delam, if you bought them last eyar then you are just unlucky but yeah dont blame line they screwed up now the invaders are kickass though i love my 07's
^well i didnt know so many were like that right when i bought them
anyway, update. they are gettin sent to the factory tomorrow. a couple days for shipping, then they do what they wanna do with them, n send them or another pair back to me, depending on what they wanna do. how long do you think this should take. they said maybe a couple weeks, does that mean 2-3, or longer. how long did it take for others to be returned.
you probably wont get anywhere with line until next season. and by then, they will be shot. just buy some new skis...and deal with it. its a shitty situation, and i would be pissed if i were you, but you wont get another pair of skis this season.
im still waiting on 3 pairs of invaders to be shipped back to my shop from line. im being told that they will credit our account, and we can warrenty them out of stock. but when we dont have any 07 invaders to give out for warrenty, people are out skis.
yea next season line should be good k2 is making all their products and k2s stuff is good so their skis will finally be innovative AND durable i might get some if i dont get some seth's
