K2 mounting ref.

okay, so im getting a pair of silencers for a friend.
he has not been skiing for like 4 years, but has all the basics dialed in. he wants to progress his skiing to more a more freestyle based thing.
where should i mount them? the shop where im buing them gives me a few alternatives (online shop):
- True ski center
- Core center (park/pipe based)
- Standard (midsole +1.5)
- Mid sole

Where is mid sole and core center at? whats the definition?

true center would be zero. Same amount of tip as tail.

core center is +7.5 or something like that true center being +11 or something like that.

If he plans on doing alot of park and switch riding go core center, it'll still go anywhere outside the park too.

I would go mid sole if your not doing any park.

ok here's how it works. i am on a pair of silencers this year as my park ski, and have skied PEs mounted at various different points. core center on k2 skis doesnt really mean anything. its an arbitrary measurement put on there by k2. if you mount the skis farther forward than this point, however, they arent really going to ski well out of the park. i have my skis mounted at +7.5 (k2's core center) and they ski pretty well for everything, and are still well balanced for park riding. i wouldnt go any less than +3 on them though, since k2's factory mounting point is a lot farther back than most other skis.

yea it is, wen i got my publics mounted like 2 years ago i got tehm at suggested wheen i told them center and i had like 1.4 feet of tail and they were 169's
