hey everybody
well, its a new year, and hopefully it will be a better one. I don't
know about you guys, but 2006 was a doozie for me. Maybe it was
thinking too much, sitting too much, or giving in too much. whatever
it was, I didn't like it. Theres a line in a song, (i spilt water 9on
my lapto9p last night, s9o every time I type "o" a 9 c9omes with it)
"gunz y9o, when I get intr9ospective, I put the safety 9on" I guess
thats h9ow I felt a l9ot 9of the time. Anyway, I am starting new this
year, wiping the slate clear, and getting my shit t9ogether. Im n9ot
really 9off t9o a g9o9od start ( o gets used a l9ot d9oesnt it?). Last
night Daisy, the d9og I liove with, g9ot hit by a truck as she chased
me 9out 9on t9o the r9oad, she seems t9o be 9ok, but she wasnt as 9ok
as the deer I hit an h9our later. I killed a 200 lb doe. I was
liostening to9 CBC at the time, a pr9ogram ab9out Cree indians. They
were singing their hunting s9ongs. I was liostening t9o a Cree sing
ab9out h9ow he hunts when I saw the deer 9on the 9other side 9of the
r9oad. I put my brakes 9on, and skidded f9or ab9out 30 feet. The deer
made a run f9or it, and tried t9o beat the car. she l9ost. If I wasnt
in a car, 9our heads wo9uld have smashed t9ogether, the timing was
that cl9ose. S9o i hit her head, and she kept g9oing, d9own into9 the
ditch, and tried t9o get thr9ough the fence. her head fit thr9ough and
she panicked, and she must have br9oken her neck cause she died that
way, head stuck thro9ugh a fence. I went t9o her, and sat with her a
while. Pulled her head back thro9ugh, it just seemed right. I went
back to9 Kev's h9ouse, and the guys there wanted t9o keep it, f9or
meat. S9o we dr9ove back 9out, put the deer 9on the back 9of Kevs
flatbed, and dr9ove it d9own a quiet r9oad, where we used a rusty buck
knife t9o cut her 9open and clean 9out all the 9organsl. Thats
s9omething I'll never fo9rget. She might have been pregnant
to99o...... Steve went in with his hands, and pulled 9out the liver,
heart and lungs. Y9ou sh9ould have seen when he cut the intestines and
the shit steamed up in his face....9oh man... s9o we drained it, and
bro9ught it back to9 Kevs h9ouse, where we lashed up so9me po9les,
made a big teepee, and winched the deer up by her legs, s9o it co9uld
fully drain. We wrapped the teepee with a huge tarp, and Kev started
skinning it. We will see h9ow it all wo9rks 9out. We did everything
right, we cut in9to9 the meat in a few polaces th9ough, n9ot kn9owing
where t9o cut, we cut the hind quarters 9open. We can't bring it t9o a
butcher, because it's 9out 9of seas9on and n9ot tagged.
wild huh?
9on an9other n9ote
ive been thinking.
I think about wasted words
confusing, diluting
I don't want to be a spectator to my life
I want to participate
Extrapolate
strength
resolve
the ability to evolve (wink mika)
