So last year I could do 360s with ease and was trying 540s but this year no matter what jump I hit I always do a 270. And its not just that but I can feel myself go for shifty. I see the landing and then twist my legs but I dont mean or want to. It has got me to the point of being afraid because last time I smashed my head on ice and thought I seperated my shoulder. What shoul I do to get past this?
Ironically, it is probably because you are blocking up your shoulders. Be sure to lead with your lead hand, and pick up your eyes. To do this, pick a point uphill directly above the jump. When you are at 180, look up at it. Then move your head and keep the spin going.
really?
look up the hill?
that wouldnt work for me at all... does it really work for you?
I tend to go where I look, so i keep my head looking over my leading shouler and keep my hands down.
you just gotta keep spinning, i had the same problem i slowed my rotation down at 270, you just gotta not think about it as much and keep spinning till you stomp it.
