Either use FONT COLOR='whatever' tags around your text, or set link colors in the body tag. http://www.annabella.net/html.html is a good beginner HTML site.

in the body tags put link=color, and if you want it to stay black put vlink where link was...

dreamweaver is unbelievably easy to use. im in a class at school where we do site desgining and we had to do it all by hand scripting in simpletext than we switched to dreamweaver. wow. does all the coding for you

Yes, HTML editors are easy to use, but they don't produce good results across all platforms, browsers and resolutions. If you want it to look good for the most people, coding by hand is the only way, plus it isn't hard at all once you learn it.
