i have add so its super hard for me to concentrate on something especially homework, but i had a 6 page paper due tonight at midnight, so of course i started when i got home from work at 8:30, and for 2 and a half hours i actually stayed on task and got it done without once stopping or going on ns, its the first time iv been able to sit still and work for that long, i just thought id share my enjoyment and achievement
i think its cause i was motivated to do it cause if i didnt get it done, then i couldnt go to the rail jam tomorow

in conclusion, led zeppelin and motivation can help you conquer add
wow that was longer then i expected

man, add has so much more to do with your state of mind than any real chemical imbalance. i know, i was 'diagnosed' with it but refused to go on any pills and eventually i learned to just get shit done and stay on task. dont let people tell you you have a problem and dont make excuses for yourself and you can learn to be more efficient, like you just did.

It is different for everyone... NO it is not a state of mind.. yes it is an imbalance of sorts. Just because you cant sit down and write a paper doesnt mean you have ADD. if you sit down to write a paper and cannot possibily shut out your own conciense enough to process what you are doing. I can read books but not get any of it because my mind is somewhere else. Its obvious. Some people can not get over it ( me ) by just sitting down with no distractions, i cannot shut down my thinkin ... I can write great papers and do HWK no problem if i am interested and entertained but other than that i struggle, College is fucking near impossible for some kids. Its not an excuse, if you think it is then your highly uneducated and being quite general and unfair. You know the little concious voice in your head ,, doesnt stop, ever.
