I had a phase a few years ago where I was all depressed thinking about death for a few weeks I would just come home and sit there thinking about it.

Now I am pretty relaxed about it. I have yet to feel the pain of a family member or friends passing away and I feel comfortable that I dont have to worry about my own death till it comes. However envisioning myself on my death bed is one scary thought.

yea, i did the same thing like 3 years ago, i thought about it, and sometimes i would blank out and think about just being nothing, it was a weird little phase, and it came up while i was on the can the other day too...now that was weird

death is the easy way out of a shitty life. My life so far has been pretty shitty, but i made myself a promise to see this thing through. I believe that after death there is nothing, and i also think that i would rather have something shitty than nothing at all.

what happened to peteks posts? But my take on death is that its not a bad thing.... how can it be bad if you dont know your dead? your just not there. You dont think. there is no more you. threfore you can not be sad about your death because you are gone

meh, death shmeath. ive had a few close people die but it seemed i wawsn't sad. crying and mopeing around wont help me, i just continued my life. i dont care about death, but i do my best to avoid it like anyone would. shit happens, just gotta move on. i wanna know wat heppens when i die, but i can wait.

P.S. no my life does suck, but i can still have fun

death is something you have to come to grips with cuz it happens to everybody. but you cant go around thinking about it. when i drop a cliff i know that there is potential death but when im in the air its not like ohh shit might die here cuz then it just takes the fun out of everything. just go with the flow and your time will come.

death scares the shit out of me, i try not to think about it but if i do, i have to go do soemthing to get it out of my mind, ive been like this for years, it drives me scary, just the fact that one day i wont be here it scares the shit out of me. i don't go out of my way to make sure i stay or anything to avoid death, it just something that scares me and try not to think about

the one thing that does bother me about death is the fact that i dont know what happens when i die, and i will never know until the time comes. i just hope i can still ski :)

Well, my outlook is probably different than most people's, considering I've had 27+ people whom I was really really close with die in the past two years. Thirteen of them were killed by drunk drivers (only one of which was actually the drunk driver involved). My grandpa died on the first day of school this year, so that was hard. Anyway, I wouldn't say I'm immune to getting emotional about death, but I know how to channel my emotions better. I don't really know what to think about my own death... I don't fear it, but I don't look forward to it. Whatever happens, just happens I guess. I just hope it's not slow and painful. I skiing accident when I'm in my 80s might be nice, hahaha. Or maybe a fall from a cliff climb, or a bungee cord snapping.

death bites. but so would being old. I mean I dont wanna be some old fart that has to wear depends and take 1000s of pills a day and get out of breath just by going to the fridge. I mean life is cool but I dont get why so many people are obsessed with living long. Enjoy life while you are young and con do anything you want. Thats why I smoke and drink like a motherfuck, cuz old age would suck balls and I'd just be a drain on the healthcare system, having young healthy people pay to keep my withered ass alive. I wanna die young at like 50 and leave a beautiful corpse. live fast. die young.

i had a death phase a couple of months ago, i started to wonder if we are where you go when we die and when we die we are borin in the real world and our wisdom and maturity come from how old you were and how much you learnt the last time you were alive.....does that make sense?

i'm scared of death...i believe in heaven and hell, so i believe we all go somewhere when we die, but it still scares me. like when we die, what will happen to us when we go to heaven or hell or purgatory or the next world or whatever u wanna call it? will it be the same as life on earth? what will it be like? so i guess u could say that i am scared b/c i don't know what will become of me adn what life after death will be like? adn it scares me even more when i think about my relatives that have died adn what now has become of them and where they are now and what it's like for them.

ya i gues the main function of most people's belief is the fear that there is nothing after death. im scared that there's nothing after death. i like knowing im alive, that im hear, on ns.com, tlaking to you people. i don't like to think about nothingness. nothing sucks. when people die around me, i guess im too desensitized(sp?) to actually think of what happened. i just can't picture myself lying dead in a casket. i dono, basically, like everyone else said, i hope to hell taht there is something after death cause im scared of death.

I've been going through the death phase for about five years now. The daydreams and fanasies used to scare me, but now (I know it's sick) they're kinda fun. I like the reactions I get from the people who love(ed) me. I'm not scared of it. It is just as much a part of me as life is.

(Yeah, just maybe I'm a bit fucked up.)

But here is something for anyone who wants to read it. It inspires me to live.

Actually, I have died before. The night of February 28 - March 1, I got extremely plastered and puked for an hour. Then, I had a two and a half hour terrible asthma attack and stopped breathing and was without a heartbeat for three minutes. Yay me. I don't remember any of it, but I died. Woo hoo.

Death sometimes scares me. Like sometimes when I get in a car or do anything, I think about what could happen to me and that stuff. I don't want to die all sick in bed or anything painful, probably a quick, unpainful death doing something that I love doing.

i can def wait till i die, but im extremely curious to know what happens when we do die. i rally wanna know. but i have a great life so i aint gonna blast myself, ill just have to be patient and ski a lot just in case i wont be able to ski later on. i like to think that when you die what happens to you is whatever you believe in. if you believe in heaven, then you g to your perception of what heaven might be. if your gonna be reborn as an animal lets say, then thats what happens. when i die i want to be with my girlfriend forever and i hope i can skii forever and ever too and the mountain changes so its never the same line twice, ever. so i hope my theory is correct cuz it would be incredibly cool. i also want to know about the universe. whats it all about ya know? if its infinite then its just frickin weird but if its not then it ends, but whats at the end, and then whats after the end? can there be such a thing as 'nothing?' is nothing achievable? and is infinite achievable? the going theory is that the universe is expanding at all times, what the hell is it expanding into though? man im gettin all confused, im gonna go smoke a bowl then go to sleep, hopefull ill dream of something good and ill get some answers. i write my dreamd down actually, its cool i can look back and link certain dreams to others and stuff and i rememebr all my cool sex and skiing dreams after reading them in writing. picking your dreams apart is fun. holy shit this is realy fuckin long, i apologize to all those who wasted their time rading it. but i hoped you gained something out of it...mabye? haha damn im tired

final destination made me gag. That movie was soo disturbing, and I'm not gunna bother to watch the 2nd one. Without the blood, it might have been good though I guess cause it kinda makes you think. I dunno, I just didn't like it when that first guy died in the bathroom.
