The newer tramps with the fabric springs suck. Mine has the actual springs that will eat you alive if you fall on them which is super cool...hehe. I guess maybe it was a safety issue or something?

it sucks, i have a $500 mat and the stitching that hold the spring loops are ripping and all of a sudden i'll be jumping and a spring will fly off and almost drill me. but i'm gettin it restitched soon. does crossing the springs work on a rectangular tramp?

yes it will, any kind of tightening of the springs will make you go higher

because it makes the springs tighter and more stretched out. naturally springs wants to go back to original form, so i you strtch them, they will pull back harder on the launch

it works. they springs are wound tightly enough that they don't connect together. they just overlap eachother which means they're stretched out more than just diagonal springs.

for the love of god, all you have to do is unhook one spring on the frame, then un hook the one next to it and switch then, forming an 'X' so they are tighter

I W0ULD NEVER CROSS THE SPRINGS ON A TRAMP. I know Jason Stinsmen quite well. First inline skater to ever do a double back, competed in the X games, all summer sping fall making over $100,000 off prize money a year. He X-ed the springs on his tramp, came down wrong paralyzed himself. Went to the hospital was told he would never be able to walk again, use his hands etc.... Out of some miracle a doctor was able to put back in place the Vertabrae, allowing him to make somewhat of a recovery. Meaning he can walks with a really weird limp, and his hands kinda jitter all the time.

ok, so i understand that crossing them like this XXXXXXXXXX is apparently good (and bad at the same time), but does one spring go overtop of the other one, and therfore possibly bending each other? RS4LIFE said taht he does his like this /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\. does his method also work and make you go higher?
