Their super light! The 2 Buckle is really no different than 4 buck support! The most padding ever! And my favorite part is they dont put you in a progresive racing stance. I cant wait till I have $429 more dollars to spend on ski equpment!
i dont completely agree with that but theres some boots that realy really suck but its totally the shape of your foot for boots which kinda sucks but whatever.
i bought them already and their the best buy ever...i just have to move the top buckle forwards so that i can do them bitches up properly, the heel cusion is what made the purchase
i spoke to salomon just this week and they were just reaching stores starting friday so i hope we all get ours soon i can't wait to get mine but theres nothing these shops can really do its the manufactures faults that these things took so long to ship.
they sound really comfy, but that like 0˚ stance thing is scary i dont think i would like that, they should make one just as padded but less park specific for peeps who ski steeps and park
They must be sold out cuase they dont have any spk's! You can to ski all mountain w/ them, the foils arnt that much stiffer (well that is if your not a pussy)!
I think 0 degree stance means you stand flat and not cocked foward into more of a progressive racing position. Its super ill for rails and riding switch!
I tried on both and the foils were mad compfy. They felt allot better than my old 1080 boots! They are just a bit stiffer than spk, and stance is more progressive. still a dope boot!
the foils and the spks have the exact same flex rating, get it right.
the foil is exactly the same as last years 1080 boot.
the 1080 boot was made a little stiffer the last year it was made (from 75).
the cuff design of the spk gives it a more progressive flex than the 1080/foil. progressive does not mean softer, it means it doesn't feel like your shin is slammed into a brick.
the thick power strap gives support and disperses impact on your shin over a greater amount of suface area.
because of those last two points i probably wouldnt take off the spk strap, but if you ant to put a booster on put it above the stock power strap.
you are NOT standing straight up and down in the spk, it still does have forward lean.
your bindings automatically raise your heel higher than your toe, so you will have even more forward lean.
it is not a all mountain freeride boot, but its not like the foil is any better
