Where should I go skiing?

I would really appreciate if some of you people could give me some good advice on where I should go skiing.

I currently am living in Sydney Australia and am planning a trip to go skiing somewhere in the northern hemisphere for about 2-3 weeks during Feburary.

I am leaning towards Japan (deep pow and some park) but wouldn't mind going elsewhere. I don't want to go to America (as I want to try something new).

Basically what I'm looking for is some place that has a killer park and powder lines........is that too much to ask??

So could anyone suggest some place(s) that I should try? Could you also say what would be the nearest city to fly into so I could investigate prices of flights.
