Ethics assistance

i have to write a 1 page essay for ethics resonding to the question:

Is 'relativism'(a view that ethical truths depend on the individuals and groups holding them) destroying the moral fiber of american culture/society today?

i choose to answer yes, but i need some examples of questionable subjucts like pre-marital sex and stuff

Female genital mutilation is a common topic that is used to refute reletavism. Is it right that some cultures sew womens stuff shut? Under reletivism that would be totally acceptable.

The long and the short of it is reletivism isnt really a code of ethics but rather a justification of apathy. The whole point of ethics is answering to the question 'ought' and reletivism is just a cheep way to weasle out of moral obligation.

I dont really understand why you're writing this paper. Any arugment you could make has already been made...its completly redundant for you to pick a different example and make the same argument. Tell your prof. you're a nihilist and the paper is pointless.
