Just wanted to spread the word that legalization of up to an ounce of mary jane is on the ballot this novmber in colorado. So if you like weed and want it to be legal vote in november. Dont be lazy, go register to vote and go vote for weed and other important issues. The legalization of weed is on the line here people. We need to beat hte old people so we can smoke sweet sweet cheeba without being worried.

I'll admit, that would suck. But see, I don't really need to ski to have fun. I ski because it is fun, but if I was forced...yeah I could probably go without it. Do you need weed or alcohol? Is that the only way to have fun? Or you only have fun drunk or high?

if you get charged with possession you lose financial aid eligibility. And for everyone against the vote, why? Please give other reasons then "it's not good for you" or "smoking pot's a waste of time"

i definatly wouldnt enjoy being around people smoking pot all the time, its bad enough already, so legalizing it would take away something i enjoy.

people become brain washed from substance programs such as D.A.R.E. that they dont learn the full facts. Pot is a gateway drug, but only as much as advil is. i know people that have been smoking pot since the 60s and 70s and thats it. they never went onto smoke rocks and doing lines of coke of a toilet seat in some techno club.

if you want to smoke pot, smoke pot, if you dont, then dont, but both of these kinds of people need to shut up. All you hear out of pot smokers is that it isnt bad for you and all you hear out of non pot smokers is that it is bad for you, the people who smoke pot are never going to change their view (unless something bad happens) and the other people aren't either.
The problem the people who dont smoke pot and think it is bad out number the ones who do by allot.

you have to remember that it is not just ski people from CO voting, it is elderly who probably dont want to legalize it, the evangelical christians, many conservatives, and adults who dont want their children growing up in a place where pot is legal.

haha sweet i registered to vote last week but that wont ever pass if its the entire state. Everything outside of denver and boulder is very conservative, although i like that my state is the one trying to legalize weed.

u still cant smoke in public so u wouldnt have to be around it
besides even if you could its not ur place to say what people can and cant do because its their body besides you can walk around those people. u dont have to walk through the smoke. and smelling weed all the time should not even bother you considering how much pollution is in our air already from cars and factorys. me smelling that shit is taking away something i enjoy (clean air) so lets ban people from driving cars in the vote too and factories from making their products. So before u complain about smelling weed think about all the other shit that u smell constantly. in fact weed actually smells much better than exauhst so really u shud thank people for smokin in public

but who the hell are you or I to tell people what is fun or not? Or that things that other people consider to be fun should be outlawed? No one has the right to tell you not to ski. You are wanting to bring back the alcohol prohibition, but for what reasons?
Alcohol isn't a problem till people start driving drunk or killing people in other ways because of it.
Skiing isn't a problem till people start skiing out of control and running into other people.
Same goes for weed as far as I'm concerned. The marijuana prohibition created the same problems as the alcohol prohibtion. Alcohol prohibition lead to Al Capone and other gangsters who faught over control of a black market product with a huge demand. Lots of people were killed over it. The same thing happened with the marijuana prohition (except that it is drug cartels and not Capone-like gangsters), but many more people were thrown in jail over it and even more lives ruined just because of the prohibition and the laws.
I hope this law does pass just to make a point, even though I live in a place where weed might as well be legal. You can walk around Boulder and smoke and nobody bothers you.

I would argue that boulder police are the worst cops ever. I know for a fact if you even have a scraping left in the very bottom of a dugout you will get arrested and charged with possesion. In Boulder cops will pull you over at night for any reason they want, hell no reason at all. In Boulder the campus cops will tell you there's one place you can skateboard on campus, and then when you skate there they'll arrest you and your friends. I know how bad boulder police are. Don't think Boulder is a merry little place to live. Just because you haven't had bad experences doesn't mean the cops are cool and chill. Just be careful because they will bust your ass, and they won't take it easy on you. As far as I'm concerned, fuck the police.

I guess we just have different experiences. I was at a party that got busted up (the police came in and just told us to keep it down). There was a shit ton of weed sitting on the table and no less than 4 bongs (I kid you not) in plane view. We also had a keg, also in plain view and nobody was 21. The cop looked right at it all, and then told us to have a good night. He could have fucked us over so bad if he wanted to.
I also got pulled over for running a read light and the cop let me go.
AND just last week I was riding my bike high and drunk as hell. I had some bike problems and damn near fell over and a cop stopped to help me. Didn't ask me how old I was when I had obviously been drinking, just helped me out.

Good for colorado. I think they took a look at alaska and saw how helpful their law was. If more states keep following suit with bills like this, then maybe one day we can have any personal freedom without government oppression.
