Amped on PC?

totally amazing.

Just search x box emulators on kazaa. Another way is to download project 64 (project64.com) and then download a game called 'twisted edge' on kazaa.

that is a fun game, look all most life like at times. I played it a lot during last summer it keep me from geting all depressed about no being able to go ski. but i know it is a snowboarding game i just like to picture that the riders have skis on.

If you know how to do it you can port x-box games yourself. since an xbox is basically just a normal pc with some souped up components, if you have a good computer than you dont have to deal with bringing the game down to run on worse computers, so the process takes a lot shorter. I read a tutorial on it somewhere Ill try to find it and show you

you should play it sometime. its simply amazing.

I wish they would make an Amped 2. Throw some new mountains in the game (Mammoth!!!), with more realistic hits and with more tricks (namely butters). Only if they would make a second one, wow!

werd, i still play the original, I cant believe its taken this long to get a new one out. they need butters, manuals and shit like that. maybe some more realistic jumps..were you dont travel 90feet past the tranny. Its still the best snowboard game out hands down

ok, about the porting. Going back and re-reading it, it is harder than it looks.

The differences in code for Xbox and PC are small. The differences exist mainly in the Operating System and XDK. PC uses Windows and has a Win32 API for OS functionality. Xbox includes what it needs within the XDK.

Xbox has a set GPU. PC games have to support a variety of video cards. If a PC developer wants to support older video cards, extra coding would be required. Also, in the future, if a PC developer wants to support features that Xbox does not have (DirectX 9 and beyond), extra coding would be required.

The same can apply to sound cards, input devices, and other hardware that the developer may choose to support on PC.

After the changes are made, a recompile will create the new executable code for PC.

You would have to know a lot of coding to be able to make it comply with windows, and even more to get it to support the video, sound, and other hardware. Wait several years and computers will be fast enough to successfully emulate xbox, otherwise, forget about it for now, it is a lot bigger project then I thought.
