Have you even seen preview for scott tuckerman must die? Absolutely no connection at all. And no they didnt copy them. if they copyed them it would be the same now would it.

the ringer was based around that episode of south park, thats why they made the movie.

After some wikipedia research I found out that the ringer was actually written before the episode of south park.
