A good riddle

I was told this about a week ago, and solved it in under 3 minutes.

There is a dragon and a knight on an island. There are also 14 wells. Every well contains poisenous water, and it kills you only a few hours after you drink it. However, the wells work on a system, so that if you drink from well number 4, you have to drive from any well numbered 5 to 14 to cancel the poison. However, the 14th well is gaurded by the dragon, so the knight can NEVER get to it.

One day, the knight and the dragon decide to have a fight to the death, but instead, they decide to each bring one glass of water, and switches glasses, and drink each other's water. After, they return back to their homes.

Later on, the dragon dies but the knight lives. How is that possible since the dragon could just give the knight water from the 14th well so he would have no way of curing himself, and the dragon could just drink from the 14th well to cancel out the poison that the knight gave him?

here's another one i once heard, not really a riddle but it really makes you think. (i'm yet to figure it out but lets just say im not a mathematical genious)

3 men go to a hotel looking for a room. The clerk at the desk tells them that there is only one room left, and because of this they will get a discount. The clerk tells them it will cost $30 total for the room. The men decide to split it, each paying ten dollars. Later that night, after they had settled in the clerk realized she had made a mistake. The room should have only cost $25, not $30. Not knowing how to give the men their refund correctly, she gives a busboy $5 in one dollar bills to give them their change back. He decides to give them each one dollar, and keep the other two as a tip.

This means each man paid $9
The busboy kept two dollars
9 dollars times 3 men is $27
plus 2 dollars the busboy took is $29
where did the other dollar go???

30 dollars minus the 5 is 25, plus the 2 that the bus boy took is 27, plus the other 3 for the 3 men is 30

30-5+2+3=30

maybe the dragons was full of sea water, but dragons dont have hands...and cant fill up glasses of water...and whats with "you have to Drive"?

but that runins the fun. its better to look at it the way i did bc then its messed up. i believe its an error in order of operation, but im not sure

the knight drinks from well #1 before the duel and presents the dragon with unpoisoned water. the knight then drinks the dragon's water from well #14 and is cured. The dragon, thinking that the knight's water is unpoisoned, tries to cure himself by drinking from well #14, and subsequently dies a few hours later.

the knight drank water from well 4 before, so that the dragons water canceled out the poisin, and gave the dragon one where the water from 14 would not cancel out the poisin

nope. I've just been sitting here for fifteen minutes trying to figure it out. Actually, it took me fifteen minutes just trying to figure out how the knight could get the dragon to drink out of well #14. I got the other part pretty quickly. Good riddle.

k thats close but heres what i think:

the knight drank from number 4 and got poisoned. the dragon drank from well 14 and got poisoned as well. the knight drank the 14 (which is higher than 5 therefore curing him) but since the well number is below 5 (4) for the one that was given to the dragon, the dragon remained poisoned because only wells 5-14 can cure poison.

they present the information wrong

9x3=27    27+2=29  doesnt work cause each guy has a dollar in their pocket that they dont count

you need to subtract the 2 dollars to the busboy and you get the cost of $25. 27-2=5 i heard this riddle in middle school from a teacher and that was the answer

cuz the dragon is only guarding well 14 and he can drink from any well numbered 5-14 so he drank from number 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, or 13 and then didnt die from the poison.

i was actually considering posting that, but its only fun in person. i went on a mjission trip with around 25 people last week, and we all played it one night during the leader meeting. after about an hour of playing everyone except for one person got it, and its so freaking funny to see her trying to figure it out when everyone else knows it. yeah she never figured it out though

i was playing it with a bunch of drunk kids and i was sober and none of them could get it, it went on forever. really funny. and black magic is really fun too, it takes ages for people to figure out.

try this one:

You are in an old dungeon with 3 solid rock walls. The fourth wall however, has 4 doors.  Each door has a sign above it. The King has told you that one of the doors will lead you to freedom and the first door is true.

The signs above the doors read:

nope. Here's the thing I don't know if I made clear: two of the signs are true, and the king has already told you that the sign over door 1 is one of those two signs.

couldnt it also work if door number door number 1 and 2 were the correct ones, and u had to take door number 2

or door number 1 and number 3 were the correct ones so u had to take number 2 or 4
