Switch to normal

alright Im probably gonna get some shit for asking this but anyway.. I can get into switch but I'm having trouble reverting back to normal. I usually end up having to kinda lift one ski or shove myself back around with a pole. Any tips on how to get back to normal without looking like a retard?

put your weight onto your tails (when you're switch) and then whip it around butter style.

if speed doesn't matter: just carve really tight in what ever direction u r comfortable with practice ur own way

if leaning on your tails doesnt work try your nose cuz i used to have the same problem, and for some reason, doing this works for me

just lean on ur tails a bit and angle ur skis like u'd be sheering...that'll stop u from catching an edge on ur way around.. or just jump and spin..

go slide sideways down a hill and learn to control your speed and direction by edging your skis/pressuring the tip and tail/steering your feet. It takes tons of fine little movements. Then throwing a 180 around will feel easy.

like said above, pressure your tails until you are buttering and at the same time open your shoulders direction you would like to go and it will come around

just slide around? oh and def lean back a little even if you dont try to butter, because you are most likely to catch your edge

To go switch pivot on the ball of your foot, to go back, pivot on your heels. Lead with your shoulders.

turing around is nothing to brag about, so i think buttering is a little averrated unless your doing like a 5. just spin around

practice doing swith 180s over rollers and small jumps. with practivce you will be able to do swithch 180s without a jump or roller.

when ur switch, do a "hockey stop" and keep on rotating, and keep the pressure on ur tails

weight on the tails helps alot, also stagger your stance like you would when you're riding switch anyway, looking over your left shoulder your left foot would be leading your right foot down the hill... hard to explain but it's easy once you get the hang of it

just try not to catch your uphill ski at 90 degrees into the spin because that hurts terribly. try and lean uphill a little more so theres nothing to catch and your skis are on edge with the downhill edge up so it slides sideways.and lean back and pressure yer tails a little

Honestly, if you can't spin from switch to normal then you probably just need to go skiing a lot more until you can control your skis. Because there is no trick to spinning around, its just something you learn.

put ur weight on your tails and the oppisite side of the way ur spining and whip it around. just do a ton of whirlybirds going down a green or something and youll get it after awhile
