WARNING: Rant here for a paragraph, but after is a good opinion piece for everyone to talk about.
first of all, fruitbooting switch is amazingly helpful, all who oppose shall be smited.
Second, fruitbooting is uber gay for the most part, why, because MOST fruitbooters do GAY tricks... often hard but not visually impressive even to people that know how hard it is... duh, try something crazier instead of 50 walkover type variations while grinding 12 foot box... tools.
WHAT'S EVERONE'S OPINION FOR THIS BOTTOM PART ???
Second, part B, fruitbooting is wicked sick if you transfer things like parking lot gaps and do stylie variations of 5's. Basically, pretend they're skis and shit gets cooler and stylier by the minute lol. Oh ya, and refrain from anytype of gorilla steeze while skating up to and away from jumps or rails, it just looks retarded and awkward,.. however, in the air, be as gorilla as humanly possible (air time penis/pencil style KILLED the sport entirely, makes it look fag x10).. stomp your air and stand up, ride away relaxed not all hunched over.
Think about it this way, riding in gorilla steez while fruitbooting looks awkward because you look like you should be comfortably balanced standing on two feet, but you're in this totally unnatural looking position... it looks less dumb on a skateboard because it's not a classic stand on your feet activity, therefor on a skateboard it looks more natural to be in a more comprimised/balanced position... i know fruitbooting isnt stand on your feet only, but it does look like it, you face forward and your feet are not attached to eachother. Theoretically, it looks like you should be as comfortable fruitbooting as on your plain two feet. Similarly, gorilla steez on skis looks ok because when you ski you don't have to pump arms and skate with legs... which means they're not flailing all over the place when you ride. Imagine a cross country skier skiing in gorilla steez, how retarded would that look? ... about as dumb as fruitbooting.
For the record, I'm a fruitbooter and i love it, im lazy tho, basically if it takes more than 3 or 4 pushes what the hell am i doin it for. Ride vert, no pushes required, hit a rail, either a good drop in area or a couple pushes for speed and thats it. Skatin in a park with good flow should only require a couple pushes here and there (or arguably none at all)... with that you dont have to flail your arms around and bend over like a noob,... stand up damn-it, be relaxed (you're not relaxed bent over, dont tell me that, you're over compensating for your lack of balance/comfort, practice more). ***Personally id like to see freestyle fruitbooting make a similar come back as our cherished sport of two-planking has.***
