im glad they spend their money on what counts: skiing. who gives a shit if the editing on a teaser isnt top notch??? i'd much rather have sponsor money going toward sick heli trips and capturing the shots that make a film great. that is exactly why most amateur films are way over-produced and filled with all sorts of stupid editing tricks.....they dont have the money to get shots that can stand alone without a bunch of stupid editing tricks.
and besides, the only thing people like about msp is the tahoe stuff. you cant rip the gaffneys, you just cant.

actually it doesnt really support your point at all because the two are totally different, and its funny that you dont see that. we are arguing about completely different things, and its funny, and kinda sad too that you just dont know what you are talking about. i like a good ski video and i like good tricks. the ski video with good shots and good editing will always beat out the video with good shots and bad editing, its kinda common sense, at least for most people

I've never responded to an MSP post. I'm not concerned with their business practices or who they've fucked to get to where they are. I really don't give a shit about their films, or ski films in general for that matter.
What is so disturbing about this issue is the underlying poor morals of creative artistry here. There are a lot of unwritten rules in life, one of the fundamental understood rules of a visual artist is that you do not STEAL the creativity and intellectual property of another individual. EVEN IF IT'S A TUTORIAL.
It's ok to use a tutorial to your benefit. I don't know a graphic artist, editor, compositor, camera operator or director who hasn't emulated the work of another in order to learn. The issue is that it is a moral and ethical violation to sell these imitations as your own. Especially in a broadcast, or sale for profit environment.
If I saw the same thing from another company it would be every bit as disguisting to me. For everyone out there who thinks that this isn't a big deal, get a grip. This is how many of us make our living, it may not matter to you but it REALLY FUCKING MATTERS TO ME. If this were a painting, it would be a serious offense to pass off an imitation as an original.
Having some elements be similar in content is one thing (such as the glock as an "L"), to simply open a project in which someone else has done the work and just change only the text and then pass it off as an original composition is a reprehensible practice. If you are not offended by it then so be it. Maybe someday someone will steal something from you and you will see how it feels. The fact is that when someone commits a violation of this sort, the least that should happen is that they should be called out to their peers and their customer base for what they are.

yeah so deezl summed it up pretty well.
funny how some people resort to just quoting their post while that really doesnt add anything, nor do they even listen to what is being said but just argue for the sake to argue. the point has been made, its pathetic to copy and paste and im sorry if some still can't even understand that concept, maybe thats the only creativity they know or what they think creativity is. just stop side stepping the point. if you really don't fucking care, good for you, pat yourself on the back but dont keep coming up with bullshit responses to try and stand up for someone that sucks at creativity and originality. creativity really isnt that hard but then again that shows in a lot of the responses in here.
at least it seems the majority here know the difference between influence and copy&paste

All I can say after watching the trailer on D-Railed Productions web page is, sounds like he is just jealous. Plane and simple. Big deal. There are plenty other companies out there that are producing a far greater product than this guy. The fact is its the footage that makes the movie and PBP, TBC, and even MSP have nailed it. This guy has not. You could use a little more experience buddy before you talk. Try not to shake the camera to much...
